Is there any way to re-attach a side mirror on a car .....
Mysteriously my daughters side mirror was knocked off last night
If its easy I can do it
if not I can have it repaired
if it can be fixed...

 

i dont know...is it broken?...the mechanism to move the mirror may be a bitch?...does she have electric mirrors?...is the connectors an/or wires dangling from the mirror or the door?

The mirror part isn't broken and is dangling with wires ,
when it was not broke she could move the mirror from inside the car but I'm not sure if its electric of just manual but she may loose that option now since it broke .....and won't be able to move them....it came off the passenger side ...

 

screws if you can and dont care about how it looks

drill first or the plastic will crack

urethane works good too...the kind they glue windshhields in with



one of my side mirrors is urethaned on for years due to an asshole neighbor who kept hitting my fence with his truck and then the fence smashes my mirror off

 

I will get the glue urethane .... And try that

 

it comes in a caulking gun type tube and should be about $10 or less at pep boys
