I love translating nonsense into foreign languages....it looks like a normal sentence to us mangecakes

 

What do you use to translate? Most translations I've observed can be very far off lol. They just give you key words and an indication of what was probably meant. I can fluently translate English to German or German to English through google and neither translations are accurate.

Then there's also free translation from memory you could email someone for a correct translation but it takes forever to get a response if any.

Then sometimes you get a person who translates something and thinks it's correct and it isn't so you try and make it make sense and they get all upset at you, lol.

I saw a video one time where they put an english sentence in a translator. Then translated the results to the next language that the translator did. When it went through all the languages they translated it back to english. If i remembet correctly there wasnt a single word that was in the origial sentence.

 

Yeah that doesn't surprise me, they're pretty useless. Like I said, they give you a ball park sentence and then you have to translate it yourself anyway to make sense.

I always gets people asking for German lyrics to be translated.

And some people think we can't tell jokes. We can, but simple one liner jokes don't work in Deutsch because we are often delivering the punch line first when we say it, story jokes work better.
