I found this guy on the hood of my car outside. He's so cool looking! He's real cool, slow and just chills out on whatever. Pretty laid back.

What type of insect is this?

EDIT: found out it's a katydid.

Some people can see them? I can't I hosted them on imageshack. I don't know how else to get them to show up. I have no idea WHY they aren't showing up.

EDIT: fixed. Apparently nothing hosted on imageshack works.

They're nocturnal. It's been sitting on my desk ALL DAY. It'll find it's way over to the speaker, and once to the top of the monitor, but it hasn't been moving much. I thought it was sick or dying at first but considered it might be nocturnal. It's so cute. It randomly cleans it's feet. =P

At 7:30 it like broke out of it's trance and went into hunting mode. It keeps flying around, finding places to hide/perch to wait for insects to come by. Awesome. I'm gonna let it go soon =(

It was running around on top of my bettas bowl and the betta was watching it, and actually jumped out of the water, trying to attack it once. That betta is OLD. I've had him for over 3 years now. I estimate he was 6-12 months when I got him.
