So you know how they are called the Grateful Dead and everything.... and I guess it's because if you do enough acid you feel like you are dying or half-dead or something... Well I was in a car accident 4.5 years ago... where I DID almost die... and it completely fucked me up..... this is what happened... here's the timeline of my life.... | - - -- --x------| that x is the car accident and it blocked memories from before it happened because the thing is... YOU CAN'T REMEMBER IT.... I hit my spinal cord and it's just like your brain explodes with that much pain going into it. Well after I did enough acid... I felt like I really had to reproduce... and I felt a huge link between feeling like I have to reproduce and my death... like... if I didn't reproduce right now, I will die... and one day I was sitting thinking that.... and I remembered my accident more clear than I ever had..... and that "x" came loose.... now it's like... |----------------| and I started remembering friends from 7th grade and shit that I hadn't thought of in years. Cool, huh!
I feel like when im tripping i can remember anything i want to. My friend and I were remembering things from like 5th grade one night. :hat:

...WHAT??? First off, theres no official origin of the bands name, but generally its believed they were tripping and looked it up in a dictionary. And I've never heard of people feeling like their dieing after taking "enough" acid. Do you mean people having a bad trip and thinking their dieing? Generally when I take allot of acid, I'll feel like like being reborn, not dieing.
you've been baptized.. Jan Baptist van Helmont (January 12, 1580 – December 30, 1644) was an early modern period Flemish chemist, physiologist, and physician. He worked during the years just after Paracelsus and iatrochemistry, and is sometimes considered to be "the founder of pneumatic chemistry". Van Helmont is remembered today largely for his ideas on spontaneous generation, his 5-year tree experiment, and his introduction of the word "gas" into the vocabulary of scientists. pneumatic chemistry"... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phlogiston .. In 1667, Johann Joachim Becher published his Physical Education, which was the first mention of what would become the phlogiston theory. Traditionally, alchemists considered that there were four classical elements: fire, water, air, and earth. In his book, Becher eliminated fire and air from the classical element model and replaced them with three forms of earth: terra lapidea, terra fluida, and terra pinguis..
Joseph Black (16 April 1728 – 6 December 1799) was a Scottish physician, physicist, and chemist. He was a founder of thermochemistry who developed many pre-thermodynamics concepts, and was the mentor for James Watt. Of Watt, the English Novelist Aldous Huxley (1894-1963) wrote; "To us, the moment 8:17 A.M. means something - something very important, if it happens to be the starting time of our daily train. To our ancestors, such an odd eccentric instant was without significance - did not even exist. In inventing the locomotive, Watt and Stephenson were part inventors of time."
