how do you tell if shrooms are good or not? like making sure, as much as you can, that they are actual shrooms and not poisinous or anything?
Learn to identify the strain you're looking for and its look-alikes, so that you don't accidentally poision yourself. I've got death caps in my yard that look a hell of a lot like some cubensis that SWIM grew to someone who doesn't really know what they're looking for.
You're probably safe as long as you know other ppl have taken them without incident... Moreover, I've read that only the *good* ones stain blue, & my experiences verify this... so my best advice is don't eat em unless they have white stems that stain blue and brown caps and you'll be fine.
