Are you guys watching the rescue of the 33 miners trapped underground for 2 months? It is outstanding to see them coming up and out of that tube to be greeted by family, friends and the obligatory politician ( the president no less!). It is such a change to see a "human interest" story that is not the tragic result of some fucking natural or man-made disaster. It truly gladdened my heart when I switched the news on at 6.00 a.m. and saw the live feed. I have been following the story for a while and for want of a better expression "WHAT A RESULT!"
yeah was it 10 or 11 rescued so far??? well thats what it was last time i checked about an hour or two ago im so happy theyre finally getting rescued. i hope theyre all well <3
the mine wasn't man made? yes, very heartwarming indeed to see news networks dedicating a whole day to good news. those miners are hot
I'm just watching the news now, it's must be pretty emotional for them to finally be above ground, and such a relief!
I wouldn’t be so quick to dub this rescue a victory and a great human interest story until after one of the miners hires a ghost writer and we discover what really happened 984 feet down Hotwater
I heard on the radio that the families are there cheering and one wife heard another woman calling her husband's name...hello mistress. Nice way to find out your husband is cheating on you.
The last great rescue in south america didn’t turn out quite so great when it was discovered the victims of Flight 571 which crashed in the andes survived by eating the flesh of their dead companions Good thing the miners didn't have to face that dilemma Hotwater
Too bad that people have to focus on the smut instead of the rescue. It is wonderful that they are being rescued and even more so that is was before the original projected time line. Kudos to all the teams involved in this rescue for getting them out.
It was a little too procedural near the end. We knew they were all going to make it. It is a good day for family and friends, though.
I wonder if there will be further help for these men, besides getting them out. I can't imagine what their mental and emotional states are like.
Yeah good on the engineers for getting them out safely, great to see this on the news. Hope they all get a nice little retirement package now, I'd hate to do that job myself.
