Have any of yall seen the black crowes dvd "Freak N Roll"? Well in some scenes in the dvd chris is wearing a sweater/hoodie type thing and i was just wondering what those are called and where might i find one?
I often find them in tourist areas, ie stores by beaches and such. I know there's a place in Wasaga Beach (Ontario, Canada) called Pedro's (among other places) that carry them frequently... otherwise, try stores that sell rock or other music t-shirts in malls or down town areas, they often carry them as well. Online businesses like ebay and other sites are also good to check out, convenient.
i've seen tons of handmade ones when i was in new york, but i also see alot of them around school, so they must be available locally.
it's odd to me that everyone sees them for sale all over the place....i've never seen any for sale in my life. i used to want one so bad, but i could never find them. Now i own 2, but i got them from thrift stores....i don't think i've ever seen them being sold anywhere but thrift stores.
I guess it really depends on where you shop.... sometimes I can find these at the mall, but it's true, that thrift stores always seem to have at least one or two on the shelf.
even old glory gets them from time to time. where are you, Peacehippie? In the southwest US these are ubiquitous and the cheap score is Love's stores on interstates.
I uae to always see them at the beach on the east coast. We use to always refer to them as "your drug rug" LOL As i remember they were technically called a "minyahta" That fenetic i dont know the proper spelling.
