"CHRISTIANS": It's Time To Put Up or Shut Up

Anyone here who claims that they are a REAL Christian, please post here. Since I have yet to see a REAL Christian, other than those who claim the title and live their own "brand" of religion based on their own emotions and "interpretations" of "God" and the Bible, I am willing to allow you to show your geniuneness and OBEY JESUS and make a jackass out of me in front of everyone on HipForums. Hallelujah! Glory!

First let's break it down to this definition. What is a REAL Christian. I'll go by the term itself. I think most people who be willing to accept the a REAL Christian as being one who follows the will of Jesus Christ as prescribed by his words in the Bible. I think that is fair enough.

I am so fair that I will dismiss the Apostle Paul's claims (until someone opens that can of worms first) and go STRICTLY by Jesus' words.

It is time to...PUT UP OR SHUT UP!

Well EVERYONE who hears people say that they are Christians expect them to be perfect and NO ONE is Perfect its hard to try because were all born in sin and come short of the GLORY of God. So even Christian people make mistakes NO matter how hard they try to live a perfect life like Jesus Christ himself. So thats why Jesus still loves us If we are humble enough to try and live a Godly life and HE knows were gunna mess up But he still loves us for our humbleness!
And Christian people's Faith should not be put to test by something not life changing. Because I know anything you would say or could even do WOULD NOT change my faith or reasons to belive in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savour

 

So, do you claim to be a "REAL" Christian willing to obey Jesus? (that's all I want to know)

there are something like 5 billions of people on earth who don't recognize themselves as christians. Most of them don't advertise it.
Why do you do so?

You think you have to accomplish your duty and try to save those believers?

i'm no christian by far..never wanted to be or claimed to be..& i'd be the 1st to tell ya the bible is just a novel..& christianity a crock of shit
but having said that i'd probly think i wasabetter christian then most christians..if you concider being a christian as trying to live your life by chrsts example
not saying i think christ existed, or is a god..
just saying i try hard to be a good person & not judge anyone

As for me I have tried to make my position clear here. The true religion will be had when all the people of the world can live in peace and harmony with each other and with earth itself. The true religion is likely some partial combination of most every religion there has been. It would be based on simple rules like the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule. I feel like I am beating the same old drum.

A real Christian is one whom adheres to the man made rules of their subscribed institution. I think the question you should ask is, "What is the definition of a true follower of Christ?" Religion was not created at the hands of God, rather man.

 

I claim to be a true Christian..... Jesus said many worship with their mouths but their hearts are far from me. My heart is close to Jesus, but only he knows that : )

Yeah, why should I keep it a secret? Jesus says let your light shine to the world However, only God knows for sure because it is in your heart that you are saved-it's the sincerity. Many SAY they are a True believers but even by their actions they can deny Him.

 

I would say I am a true Christian. I would like to know where this is going.

Now, here's the deal. For all proclaimers of TRUE and REAL Christianity...
Premise #1- If you love Jesus, you will obey Jesus.
Premise #2- The Bible also says that the real test of your love for God’s family is how well you obey Jesus’ commands.

If you love Jesus enough to obey Jesus, then you would obey Jesus regardless of the cost, no matter WHAT he commanded you to do?

...Even if it cost you your car and all the money in your bank account, because material possessions should matter that much.

Ask yourself this question:"If Jesus came down in the flesh, right here and now, and commanded you to prove your love for him by giving me your car and all your money, would you obey him?"

But, Jesus' words are just as good as a personal visit, right?

So, Jesus* commanded you, in Matthew 5:42
“When someone asks you for something, give it to him.”

and don't forget... The Lord LOVES a CHEERFUL GIVER!

So, I am a someone, just like Jesus said, and I'm going to ask each you for something, just like Jesus also said. Keep in mind that where you spend eternity may rest on how well you obey Jesus in giving this someone what he asks for.

I would like each REAL & TRUE Christian to PM me, so you may get my address. I am going to go light on each of you and just ask for $20 of your hard-earned money. That's it! Will you sell Jesus out for just $20?? Or will you OBEY JESUS.

I have read some of your earlier posts from you both and it seems that you both reflect fundamentalist orientations of one sort or another regarding religion. (FTR, my definition of fundamentalism is the belief that scripture is to be taken literally, often times without taking into account the culture and situation which prevailed at the time that the passage was being written.) I feel that in order to understand what was going on at the time that scripture was being written, you have to understand the situation at the time. In my experience, I've noticed that fundamentalists as a rule have difficulty with this concept. As such, I have to strongly question if such folks are true Christians!
