Christopher Reeve is Dead

The Drudge Report just broke the news that Christopher Reeve is dead. It hasn't even hit the wires yet. The story just broke like three minutes ago on Drudge.

Nikki Finke in Los Angeles is reporting that actor Christopher Reeve is dead, according to sources close to the actor. He died suddenly Sunday. News of his death has not been reported publicly yet. His family will make an announcement Monday at the earliest. Reeve was just mentioned Friday in the second live presidential debate by John Kerry. Noting he was a friend of the paralysed Reeve, Kerry said he was in favor of further stem cell research because Reeve could walk again one day thanks to such science.... MORE...

 

that's bullshit, right? There's no way! He's superman! I send him $5 every year on his birthday and at Christmas when he sends me a calendar!

I saw him on south park sucking blood out of babies not too long ago.

You know when you buy a used car, but foolishly don't look into its back ground, and find yourself with a lemon? Well, Reeve bought a new wheel-chair, but unfortunately didn't look into it. Turns out, it was powered by Kryptonite.

I saw a movie of his I never had seen before, and it was very prophetic. He played this man who was committing adultry with this married woman, and he ended up getting in a horse riding accident in the movie while the horse was jumping an obstacle. life seems to imitate art, sometimes.

its sad that he died, he seemed like the type of person determined to get past being a parapalegic.

 

that wasn't really funny... it was just dumb. But I'll give you credit for trying...

 

Well, I can't out-funny the fact that he died a couple days after Kerry said he may be able to walk again.

Yes, he is dead.

Matt Drudge would not be reporting this unless it came from a credible source, which it did. Like Drudge or not, he is very well-respected in what he does. Drudge was the first to break MANY bombshell stories, including the Clinton/Lewinsky story.

It's not a joke. The mainstream media likely won't report it until someone from his family comes forward to confirm it, which they will probably do later on today.

 

I just had a picture of him lamenated today. That's really sad, he was a global role model for persons with disabilities and he lended voice to those who were silenced because of their own disabilities. He will be truely missed.
