i've been feeling pretty crappy lately.. off and on for years now with the same strange symptoms. i've been doing some research and now think i could possibly have chronic fatigue syndrome.

    does anyone have this?

    how do i get tested?

i plan to make an appointment with my medical doctor to discuss the possibility of having this.

look at possibly investing into natural substances that boost energy and metabolism. There are alot of them out there.

I think you need to eat a hamburger :leaving:.. Some life forms need poisons to build anti bodies.
As silly as it seems exposure to germs is how your body builds defenses...

I'm planning to visit a kinesilogist (sp?) who does allergy testing and other things via muscle response techniques. He gave great advice to my step brother when he had adhd. I have major energy issues that do not respond to stimulants, also I get quite sick if I try and push myself with exercise...and dehydrated from excessive sweating.

I am planning to also try Some of the more potent adaptogens like siberian ginsing. And i find that a good source of DHA omega3's is essential to keep my energy up (for a vegetarian this would mean algae based omega 3 not flax seed oil which only has ALA)

i have researched on my own and have narrowed it down to a few possibilities. CFS is the only one that has all my symptoms listed... but i really need a doctor to confirm it.

always tired.. even after resting or sleeping.
    sometimes i feel flu achy
dull headache (i do have migraines)
    anxiety
    depression
    heart palpitations..
    stiff neck
    mood swings
    difficulty concentrating
every 6 months or so i get an "earache" in both ears at the same exact time.
trouble falling asleep and staying asleep, no matter how tired i am.
swollen glands under my arms every 3 to 6 months
    sensitivity to light
sore throat when i have an 'earache'

i'm sure there are more.. but thats all i can think of. i oddly seem to get much better after eating any type of food with acidophilus in it.

have you checked into lymes disease?esp. since you're in northern cali. my boyfriend has a pretty bad case; some of his symptoms match yours. i'm from the east, where lymes is one of the first things they check you for. but he was in mendocino, and then hawaii and finally oregon, and no one had any idea what was wrong with him for a while. check it. the stiff neck and the achyness are real lymie sounding.

i had all the symptoms of chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia at one time, boog. it all went away like magic when i moved. came to figure out later it was caused by my reaction to the fluoride in the water where i used to live. it was suppressing my thyroid function among other things. there's also a lot of fluoride concentrated in manufactured food items, like juice made from concentrate, some bottled waters, canned soups and other food, soy products, wine, beer, soda, etc.

yeah.. it could be a number of things.. lyme disease, chronic fatigue syndrome, candidiasis, allergies to food...

i'll start a list of symptoms tomorrow and make an appointment next week.

Narcolepsy runs in my family, and i was diagnosed with chronic fatigue, which has similar symptoms as far as i can tell. I have been on adderal (an amphetamine) for a couple years now, and its literally makes me feel like im a normal person.

I went to the hospital for this the other day, because the headaches were getting bad to the point where I hadn't been eating for about a week and was dehydrated. Of course, immediately the hospital is thinking "swine flu" likeomg, so I went through this long contained process of tests. I was thinking it was chronic fatigue too, because I had all the signs of it, but all they decided to diagnose me with was "virus syndrome" whatever the hell that is.
