I went garage sale-ing today (my favorite Saturday morning activity!) and I found some cardboard cigar boxes and some wooden cigar boxes. I have an idea of what to do with the wooden cigar boxes, but what are some good ideas for the cardboard ones?

    Any ideas/suggestions?

I've been hearing a new trend of people crafting handbags out of old wooden cigar boxes.

Seems like the cardboard ones would work fine...you'd just have to add some kind of clasp. You could glue fabric on the outside...if you used a recycled piece that had a pocket on it (like from a shirt) ...instant outside pocket!

the cardboard ones would be great as long as you seal them first. It would protect them from moisture, and also add some more support. Post pics when done?

For the Cardboard box: Jewlery box, embriodery floss organizer, punch holes in the side and use for ribbon type organizer, shrine in a box, cigar box guitar, wall clock, make memory photo box, mosaic, and purse.

i'm really into altered art, and really enjoy altering boxes. my favorite are metal candy tins, but cigar boxes would probably be fun to play with too. i'd probably put little assemblages in them.
