What are some good cigars or cigarillos availiable in canada (I don't want primetimes or old ports or anything, I want something like phillies or dutches) thanks for your help
forget phillies and whiteowls. if you're in canada and want a good cigar, go to a tobacconists with about six bucks and you can get a good (albeit on the smaller side) cuban cigar. i'd like to suggest a partagas, personally. i've only been priveleged to enjoy two types of cuban cigars made from non-vintage tobacco, both coronas in size...two were a partagas and one a romeo y julieta. both types were fantastic, but i enjoyed the partagas a bit more. keep in mind though that different sizes of these brands will be quite different smokes, so romeo y julieta may be the better brand in other sizes... there are a whole bunch of well known brands that will probably almost garauntee high quality. partagas, romeo y julieta, bolivar, diplomaticos, trinidad, hoyo de monterrey, la gloria cubana and cohiba are among the most recognized names. they're significantly higher priced than phillies and such, but then you said you wanted good cigars, and good cigars cost more money.
go with swishers, don't get an expensive cigar if you are gonna just use the wrap. If you can, find just the wraps, they taste soo much better than a gutted cigar. Da Bomb makes some good wraps.
I'm underage and my brother whos buying them for me dosen't go to headshops all that often, and I know not to use and expencive cigar especially hand rolled, you shou d use "gas stations brands" aka machine made cigars.
oh yeah, then something like phillies or white owls are perfect, imo. in fact, those are usually the only shells i'd even consider rolling with, but occasionally a swisher is acceptable. using a good cigar for a blunt wouldnt be impossible, but it wouldn't be good. the binder is not suitable, and the wrapper isn't either. both the binder and wrapper leaves will likely be to strong to be pleasant to inhale, and ruin the taste of the weed. conversely the weed would ruin the taste of the binder and wrapper leaves which would be exquisite if filled with the propper filler tobacco and not inhaled. personally when smoking pot i generally like mine in smaller doses, and so a bowl or joint is preferred, but i like golden wraps as a good medium...bigger than a normal joint, and made from homogenized tobacco instead of paper, but it rolls like a joint and just looks like a brown joint. smokes slower than a paper, but still faster than a whiteowl or phillies. first time i bought golden wraps was at T.H.C. (toronto hemp company) so i know that they're available in canada. they're nice. i suggest the coconut or the cognac. the strawberry, original, and chocolate are decent too, but not nearly as good as phillies flavors. the coconut and cognac are ok though, and regardless they make nice pseudo blunts. like i said, i even prefer them to normal blunts a lot of the time.
