cloud computing everything and the kitchen sink? or is it just a hype? In my opinion it will become a powerful tool for utility computing, encryption(data portability), SaaS, Web services in the cloud, etc what do you think? panda has a anti-virus application panda-cloud-anti-virus which looks very promising and runs low on the resources viruses and worms have evolved and at this time it is a fact that av has to become smarter to i tested panda-cloud-anti-virus in vmware it runs lower on the resources than nod32 which is cool
Active virus scanners can be buggy. Cloud computing presents a risk unless it uses the X11 layer as a client.
interesting never thought of the X11 layer as a save client which makes sense the scanner is still a bit buggy but looks promising it is still in beta cloud computing is cool i used it for online storage of data and encrypted data with a pendrive @adderall assasin if you have tips concerning *nix and cloud computing please let me know i have found info read a bit it mostly is for MSwindows i run xp in vmware or at least the books i read maybe you can point me into the right direction for reading material peace raysun
You may want to read up on SaaS (Software as a Service). It closely ties with cloud computing. SaaS is actually considered a security risk if you use it for a business. My info sec instructor always warned the class that it leaves information vulnerabilities. Red Hat offers HaaS (Hardware as a Service) and SaaS, I think. http://www.redhat.com/solutions/cloud/
thanks for your quick reaction i will read up on cloud for linux finally i have material to compare the two
