my friend kelly is 17 and she has had major heart problems all her life, shes had 7 surgerys, her last surgery was about 5 years ago, she had a new valva put in. shes not supposed to speed up her heart rate, but she smokes bud. my question is, would it be alright for her to try coke?
No,I don't think cocaine would be good.. for heart conditions..increased hart rate.. What are the short-term effects of cocaine use? Cocaine's effects appear almost immediately after a single dose, and disappear within a few minutes or hours. Taken in small amounts (up to 100 mg), cocaine usually makes the user feel euphoric, energetic, talkative, and mentally alert, especially to the sensations of sight, sound, and touch. It can also temporarily decrease the need for food and sleep. Some users find that the drug helps them to perform simple physical and intellectual tasks more quickly, while others can experience the opposite effect. Short-term effects of cocaine: Increased energy Decreased appetite Mental alertness Increased heart rate Increased blood pressure Constricted blood vessels Increased temperature Dialated pupils The duration of cocaine's immediate euphoric effects depends upon the route of administration. The faster the absorption, the more intense the high. Also, the faster the absorption, the shorter the duration of action. The high from snorting is relatively slow in onset, and may last 15 to 30 minutes, while that from smoking may last 5 to 10 minutes The short-term physiological effects of cocaine include constricted blood vessels; dilated pupils; and increased temperature, heart rate, and blood pressure. Large amounts (several hundred milligrams or more) intensify the user's high, but may also lead to bizarre, erratic, and violent behavior. These users may experience tremors, vertigo, muscle twitches, paranoia, or, with repeated doses, a toxic reaction closely resembling amphetamine poisoning. Some users of cocaine report feelings of restlessness, irritability, and anxiety. In rare instances, sudden death can occur on the first use of cocaine or unexpectedly thereafter. Cocaine-related deaths are often a result of cardiac arrest or seizures followed by respiratory arrest.
Last time I did it...felt like my heart was trying to literally bust out of my chest...have not touched it since...I used to have a bit of a problem with it. Sweetie...it would be such a crying shame to have gone through all of this with her (your?) parents rejoycing after every surgery that she has come through only to have to attend a funeral because she wanted to "try" something that has such a negative effect on the heart. Google all the info..its all there. Its not bullshit.
no its deffinitly not me... ive tried coke many times and my friend wanted to experence it with me so i thought i would ask about it because i didnt really want to take the chance w/o someones opinion first
Somebody please tell me these goddamn posts are a sick joke to raise my pulse rate and fuck up my heart. Is there anybody today, even at the age of 16, that is that stupid? I repeat: if I had ever caught my 16 year old daughter on this forum, I would have put a four-pound stone hammer through the fucking monitor. There's NO hope for this goddamn degenerate country-- thank God I'll soon be dead.
Thats is a little extreme but I agree that its fucking stupid to risk shit like that if you ahve a heart condition. Honestly tahts so fucking retarded. Coke speeds up ur heart so much faster then herb. Tell her not to mess with that shit and not to smoke all that often. A sober life is better than ending up at the hospital.
I have heart disease. I didn’t know I had heart disease until I died of a cardiac arrest and was brought back to life with shock paddles, chest poundings and CPR as my wife stood by helplessly. While I was in recovery therapy, I was treated like an outcast because my medical records indicated recent cocaine use prior to the cardiac arrest. Try getting health insurance coverage with THAT on your charts. Fortunately, the VA (Veteran’s Administration) picked up the tab (for the most part). Another thing to watch out for is anxiety attacks from doing too much bud. I’ve smoked weed almost every day for the past 35 years. One day a few years ago I caught a good buzz while walking the dogs and when I got back to the house my wife wanted to go for a ride to learn the location of some yard sales she had planned for the next day. I drove, as always. When I got about a mile from the house I started freaking. I lost my bearings and didn’t know where I was. I started to panic and asked my wife to drive. She knew something was very wrong when I asked her to drive. By the time we got home my heart was pounding like a kettle drum and I thought I would pass out. I got in the shower, but felt so crowded and scared I didn’t finish and went into the kitchen. My wife could tell by looking at me that something was up. I was way wired, had no appetite and was buzzing like crazy. Oh, I was NOT doing coke at the time and I know what freaking out feels like cos I did it plenty in my tripping years. We got on the net and started looking up symptoms. This was about 45 minutes into the panic attack (didn’t know what it was at the time). I started coming down and calming down. I started to laugh cos I’m too much a he-man to cry. The panic attack could have easily turned into an angina attack which could have lead to a heart attack or cardiac arrest. I still get high, drink beer and whiskey almost every day. I have two heart stents and I’m lucky to be alive. I enjoy every day filling my time with work that I love, my children and grandchildren that I love and my wonderful wife. I have no advice, only information and stories to share. Here’s a little ditty I put together yesterday to celebrate life and beauty….. Photos by my friend Rod. Hell, why just do coke? Why not do crack? I just don't give a fuck anymore: the world has finally broke my Irish heart as it was predicted. Fuck all, and to all a good drugged night.
