Water or Coke?

We all know that water is important but maybe you've never seen it written like this before.

Water:
1. 75 percent of Americans are chronically dehydrated.
2. In 37 percent of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.
3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3 percent.
4. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pains for almost 100 percent of dieters.
5. Lack of water is the No. 1 trigger of daytime fatigue.
6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water per day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80 percent of sufferers.
7. A mere 2 percent drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on a computer screen, or a printed page.
8. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45 percent plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79 percent and, one is 50 percent lesss likely to develop bladder cancer.

Are you drinking the amount of water you should every day?

Coke:
1. In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.
2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in two days.
3. To clean a toilet:
Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from china.
4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.
5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals:
Pour a can of Coke over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.
6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Apply a cloth soaked in Coke to the rusted bolt for several minutes.
7. To remove grease from clothes: empty a can of Coke into a wash-load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains.
8. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.

FYI:
1. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 8. It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis.

2. To carry Coca-Cola concentrated syrup, the commercial trucks must use the Hazardous Material signs reserved for highly corrosive materials.

3. The distributors of Coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years!

So, the question is, "would you like a glass of water or coke?"

But really, don't drink Coke because they have immoral business practices. Like killing union organizers.

 

I stopped drinking most caffienated beverages after meeting a guy whose stomach burnt out at the age of 20 after drinking a glass of coke a day. There have been many similar cases... plus, juices taste better.

 

Carbonic acid.

I don't know about the validity of these, but I'd take them with a grain of salt.

 

It's a small amount of phosphoric acid.

You get a sulfuric acid in your eye when you cut an onion.

Also a PH of 8 means it would be a base. I'm not sure what the PH of phosporic acid is, but it is much lower. Anything with a PH value over 7 is alkaline.

 

Coke is still horrible for you, as are all sodas

It's not great for you. Caffeine dehydrates the body pretty bad, actually it's a natural pesticide and too much corn syrup can lead to [size=-1]diabetes.

But a can of pop every now and then probably won't kill. It probably won't even main. I drank a lot of soda as a kid, and now all i've got is that brain thing.

I don't drink much anymore though. I exercise a lot and need a lot of water. Pavels right too, juice tastes better.

Yes, same here. Me and Jesus were playing doctor... and he told me to drink his juice... it wasn't tasty, and I had his abortion.

Anyhow, you loose hippie points for advocating the use of such evil substances as sodas!

 

I just pointed out that no acid has a PH of 8. I thought I already lost all my hippie points.

i quit drinking sodas because i was getting fat and diet soda is just unmentionable.

 

I stopped drinking all caffinated beverages when i found out i was pregnant and around that time i also found out that all sodas eat away at your bones or whatever. so i would rather a glass of water over coca cola any day

 

Once I heard all the stuff about it, Coke just started to taste like chemicals. Other sodas I can drink, but only if I can see through it.
