mental disability is not a fucking joke, my brother is bi-polar, he went crazy one day and destroyed his motorcycle with his helmet then when the police came he pointed and object at them like it was a gun,they had to detain him and put something over his head so he wouldnt bite the cops again,he has been in and out of hospitals for a while now and hes in one now. So dont say its a joke.

Reminds me of psychology class. Our teacher mentioned that there was this group (or so) or scientists (or doctors.. lol) that faked schizo symptoms to get in a mental establishment...

they got in.

of course, I beieve this was in the 50's or 60's.. so it's nothing recent. But a point definitely has been made.

 

Social Security is not a organization that is easily duped like the welfare system. There are many long and tedious steps you must go through to qualify for services. This process can take months if not years and after you finally get there you will be turned down and you must appeal the ruling and start over again. Plus to qualify you must have so many years of work under your belt, it is not a freebie, it's something you earn and have if you should need it.

 

ok i know this mainly applies to those cheating the system, and i know ur the asswhole, but seriously fuck off. speaking on behalf of a family that was very nearly bankrupted many times because of my dads hospital bills... no it isnt a fucking joke, cancer really did cause the collapse of his spine, it really did put him in a wheel chair for the last 10 years of his life, it really did make him quit teaching, and it really did prevent him from making any kind of income. we had to sell are house in the city and move out to the country, and even then the only reason we still managed was because we were lucky enough to have family that took care of me and my sister. i know u wernt talking about my family or people that were in my situation but dont open ur mouth on shit u dont know about

i am known for going over counters after customers,been known to throw stuff at customers just for saying something i didnt like,looking at me the wrong way.now do you really want someone like me working in your local grocery store?

First off it is not the same thing, Welfare is a State run system and Social Security is a federally run system. Qualifying for social security benefits is tough even if you do have proof of a true disability.

And are making the accusation that people with mental and physical disabilities that seek social security benefits are stupid individuals.

 

i didn't mean for it to come off like all disability patients are retarded.. thats why its in "" i just couldnt think of another word...

 

Your right though people do play the system, some succeed but most don't when it comes to Social Security. I have been there I tried to claim benefits that I paid my hard earned money to and was declined. I do have a born disability and have a hard time working the jobs I am qualified for but must to pay the bills.
