Bowl Games time is my favorite part of the season. Everyone at my house is getting into the football spirit. How about you? <g>

Hot damn, another TV sports thread!

If you live in So. California, you've got to be looking forward to this bowl season.

I must admit, though, I did like it better when most all of the good bowls were actually on New Years Day (and you needed more than 6 wins to be bowl eligible).

At any rate, I don't know what to think about the Rose Bowl this year. Are USC and Texas pretty evenly matched (like Oklahoma and USC apparently were last year) or is this going to be another blowout?

If only they'd quit screwing around and implement a playoff system (congratulations to me: I'm the one-millionth proponent of that position!).

I for one hope that Texas beats USC's ass. I cant stand them. I think they are overrated as it is.

I agree with the playoff system too. BCS=crap

college bowl games arent that big for me, really, unless it falls on christmas day, then I usually end up watching it..... I mean, kansas univerisity even made it to a bowl....... the ft worth bowl (or should I say the ft worthless bowl)?? there are just too many stupid bowls....... why dont they just have a playoff system...... just like the pros do, none of that bowl crap...... its all about money......

USC is going to win so it doesnt matter, reggie bush is pretty much the best player in college football. Ill still flip back and forth to the game.

How about this for a playoff system:

Cut one game from the regular season. Have an 8-team single-elimination tournament. The conference champions from the ACC, Big 10, Big 12, SEC, and Pac-10 get automatic bids. The other 3 teams are at large bids.

Only the teams that made it to the championship game would have one net game added to the number of games they currently play. You could even rotate which bowl game hosted the national championship game and semi-final games.

Now, how hard can that be to implement??? Would the schools and conferences get less money or more?

my fresno state bulldogs damn near pulled off the amazing upset against SC last month...but...they're just too unstoppable. bush is the best football player i have ever seen. no exaggeration. i used to have respect for v. young, but the pouty little kid attitude he displayed after the heisman ceremony was laughable. i can't wait to watch texas get spanked.

I just realized that nobody put you in your place after the big game. goddamn that weak schedule Texas played. I mean anybody that has to play Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and Ohio State must suck.
