I think I posted this already, but, I am going to give it another shot, heh. I am starting to look for colleges (eck) and I am SO lost, and was hoping some of you could help me out. I am going to be VERY specific so you know where I stand and such. Right now I am in MI and would love to go to NYC (first), FL, CA, somewhere near the ocean, or city. NYC, or an ocean town would be my first pick. I have a 2.8 GPA, and I am in drama club, probably doing other extra cirrculars next year. I want to major in either English, or photography. I would like a school that would do not have to be AMAZING but will help you learn. I am also interested in studying the ocean and Biology. An art school would be nice, l0l. Somewhere where you can stay in dorms. LARGE school, 5,000+. Not to hard exceptince, because I know that my grades are not that good, and I doubt my SAT's will be good, so, yeah. heh. That's pretty much it...if anyone could help me with this, I would really appreciate it. Again, I think NY would be my first pick, maybe I'll stay in MI for a while too, also somewhere near the Ocean, (FL or CA) would be great! Please please please help me out, thank you!
If you to to www.myroad.com you can type in the specific things you seek in a college, and a list of fitting schools will show up. This may also be a help, however I did not use this when I was looking for schools.... http://www.collegetrends.org/ If go to to www.usnews.com and go to education, I know there is a college search there, I found that one very useful.
Hi Just wanted to say, you have a friend in Los Angeles if you decide to come out to look at schools. Moraga
Well, don't roll your eyes when I say this, but have you gotten any information from the University of Iowa? It is a large, liberal college and Iowa City is a liberal town. They also have a very well know writer's workshop, so I would imagine they have a good English program. Yeah, yeah, I know, not near an ocean. I dunno about your SAT scores, but if they are low you may have to start out at a state college and after a year or so if your grades are good then transfer to another school. I know you said you were in MI...ever thought of NMU in Marquette? No ocean, but a BIIIIIG lake. I have been there a couple of times and thought it was a cool place. I know this is an overwhelming decision!
moraga...aw, thanks! Whats it like out there? Ceres..hm, never thought about Iowa...I dunno, I'll check it out. thanks. I'll also check out that thing in MI!
LA is great if you have the right people to hang out with and show you around, if not then its just to big
