Are you making fun of my misuse of affect vs effect lol or do you really want to know? I'll find a link to the study, I read about it a couple of years ago so it may take some digging around
Both! but I am genuinly interested in how it affects/effects the brain! It would definitely be appreciated
lol! I'm only looking at pictures and it does too have a powerful, magical effect! :willy_nilly: Physical senses = tangible science! I seriously feel great this morning! lmao
I totally agree. People should be aware that the mind itself is atmospheric (our minds are not contained within our skulls, or walls). I am a firm believer that there has been a mesh between the mind and technology (and I think that's a bad thing).
The most important thing to make people aware is convince them. I guess if they don't see the how in that statement they just have to go by your firm beliefs I think it's very good studies and research are being done, that's why I perceive how they came to the conclusion as the most interesting aspect of the study Meliai read!
If wisdom is knowledge applied, then all you (or anyone) would need to do is take the concept (in this case, "the mind is atmospheric") and begin applying it. Here's a method I have used in the past to travel and expand my mind (anyone can do it and I think it's natural -- something that people do automatically, whether consciously or not) While relaxed, comfortable, still and quiet... close your eyes and visualize (see)the following steps. Before you begin, realize that by closing your eyes you go INSIDE whereas with eyes open, you are OUTSIDE: Specify your immediate location (for example, I am in my living room) Next immediate location (street) Next immediate location (the name of your neighborhood, if it has one) Next location: city / town Next location: county Next: state Next: region (for example, I am in New England) Follow this, step by step, from the least to the greatest. Along the way, your mind should then be in astral mode. You should be seeing, inside of your mind, the actual reality instead of self-generated mental pictures (imaginations). The goal is to achieve "eagle eyesight", seeing ACTUAL REALITY. If the mind is too dense, too dark - or if one has mental ceilings - then it will take a lot of "cleaning house" work, to clear out the clutter in the mind. If you happen to miss a step, go all the way back to the beginning and start over. After region is country, then continent, and so on... This method can be used to explore mental dimensions. You can use your mind to go anywhere you want to, simply by closing your eyes and focusing. The more you focus on something, the more concentrated your attention and energy, your consciousness can actually BE in that place. Your body is someplace else, but your consciousness can be in a very different place. You can go to Ireland if you want to, or Russia! That's pretty advanced though, so don't be discouraged if your astral travel takes a lot of discipline and practice, and time!!
I'm afraid not much people are going to spend a lot of time and discipline for that if they just wanna know how phones might affect brains or brain waves!
They'd first need to understand that the mind is atmospheric (not contained within the skull or walls). Knowing that, then you could begin to understand how the atmosphere (which is an ocean of energy and data transmissions) can impact the mind and our physicality. It goes the other way around, too. Ever have the experience of looking at a light and the light turns off? I used to be able to bring my computer out of sleep mode just by looking at it. My mind was so synchronized with the computer that I was even acutely aware when somebody emailed me (almost as if notifications were arriving in my mind). The neurostructure of the brain / mind relationship can be altered, intentionally (see BMI: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brain%E2%80%93computer_interface). If my computer could synchronize with my mind, unintentionally, then it makes sense that cellphones can also effect the brain's neurostructure. Energy & electricity, interconnectivity! Benefits and detriments... The brain itself is electric! So why wouldn't holding a cell phone to one's head all day NOT be detrimental?!
Then you must have a very dense, limited mind!! Or, an impenetrable force field! haha More to consider is photosensitive epilepsy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photosensitive_epilepsy If being exposed to "flashing lights, bold, regular patterns, or regular moving patterns" can induce a seizure, then it should be obvious that other electronic devices can impact us (energetically, physically, etc.). I know that over-exposure to the computer is making me sick. I just don't know if something like an orgone pyramid would be a good solution. They're certainly beneficial for their beauty, definitely uplifting!
Why? Because I have a different opinion than you? Or because I don't get sick of sitting in front of the computer?
No, because it is a simple fact: the mind is atmospheric. I'm pretty sure it isn't possible to have no mind at all. Everybody has mental space. Have you never explored mental dimensions?! I think you just don't like me and will argue with me, about anything, for that reason.
Your conclusion about my opinion of you is unfortunate. I don't even know you. I am just saying I doubt accepting that fact (is it a fact?) is needed to know if phones affect brain waves.
Specify the field of brainwaves, then! lol Again, the mind is NOT contained within the skull! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_theories_of_consciousness
We're made of energy and electricity! lol I just found out that alien space ships are BIOLOGICAL. Imagine that? A space ship is biological (it can sense and think). That's fantastic. I wonder what it's brainwaves are. Probably Theta. That must mean that the right, most accurate thought can kill a space ship. lolol
I don't think being on a cell phone or computer all the time is very good for you, but you lost me here
Me neither, to be clear. I just don't know enough facts so when I see ideas proclaimed as such I feel entitled to express my doubts :2thumbsup:
But of course! I found a few different studies and articles on the studies regarding cell phone use and brain activity but its a pain in the ass to post the links from my phone so will have to do it later gator
