He's not comparing him to Adolf Hitler, and I'm not calling him an idiot.

I don't know. I read the article and it does sound like he is making a comparison to Hitler. Why else would he need to say "I'm not comparing him to Hitler?" But one can read between the lines.

seems to me his comparison is between obamas planned national security force and hitlers brown shirts . if thats not what he is doing then perhaps someone could take a stab at explaining the quote in any other way..

i really dont see much of a line between that and comparing him directly to hitler though..

Hogwash. I wish people would hold their politicians accountable for the things they say. That's slander tactics.

    I don't see a difference either!

Thats like me telling my daughter she is acting like a 3 year old. Then saying "but I am not comparing you to a toddler."

People are allowed their opinions....but be bold and say what you mean dammit.

bush used the us military as his personal hinchmen in going after Sadam. the USA has or had a policy, that bush ignored, in that it did not assassinate the leader of another nation. we, americans, have already lost the power to stop the government.

In all honesty, I wish Obama was a Socialist and a Marxist.

The American people could use a taste of Socialism. Millions are lost in pensions, billions is lost in debt, and the rich keep getting richer.

There's not going to be any national security force, this is a made up issue. And calling Obama a commie is just as offensive as calling him a Nazi.

There's this old saying i've been hearing all my life, about:

'Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.'
    ~ George Santayana

In order to see any sort of pattern in anything, historically, we HAVE to look at other instances when the same things happened.

Sometimes, it's all for the good.

Other times, it's trying to head off some catastrophe that has already been proven to be an horrific abomination to all of humanity.

i honestly don't know how you could compare it with any other societies that we know the histories of, so tell me this?

Why is it "bad" to see correlations between historic events?

It's a bummer that the comparisons have to be made with something so atrocious, but that's the way it is, and getting down on HippieHillbilly because of it is sort of senseless ~ HE didn't make the history, neither in the past, nor right now.

    it aint no biggie,
sometimes a persons disdain for someone causes them to completely lose the ability to think clearly and comprehend exactly what a poster is saying..

when that happens said person usually winds up looking like a complete moron so there is really no reason at all to get upset over it..

It isn't bad to see a correlation.

It's bad to know there is no meaningful correlation, but still use a fact to promote a slanderous accusation. (added in edit: I am referring to the Congressman, not you HH!).

For example, Obama and Hitler have a direct one-to-one correlation in the fact that they are both males. It's a completely accurate statement, but meaningless.

If someone were to make an honest effort to prove that Obama and Hitler were similar, we would have to ask questions like, would Hitler have voted no to invade Iraq? Would Hitler be so 'unpatriotic' as to not want to wear a flag pin and put his hand over his heart? And um, here is a biggie, would Hitler have the same Chief of Staff with a pro-Isreal agenda???

    1) Of course ~ he would have wanted any military that was "out and about" at home to handle the situations he was about to create.

    2) Yes, since he REinvented Germany's National symbol, much like Obama has done with the symbol on his plane...

Western use of the motif, along with the religious and cultural meanings attached to it, was subverted in the early 20th century after it was adopted as the emblem of the Nazi Party (German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei). This association occurred because Nazism stated that the historical Aryans were the forefathers of modern Germans and then proposed that, because of this, the subjugation of the world by Germany was desirable, and even predestined. The swastika was used as a conveniently-geometrical and eye-catching symbol to emphasize the so-called Aryan-German correspondence and instill racial pride. It was also adopted by some German militants in the March 1920 Kapp Putsch.

    3) You're kidding, right?

'Hitler’s Jewish Soldiers' features interviews with various elderly Mischling and their own experiences with being Jews in Hitler’s Army. Many of these individuals still consider themselves Jewish today. One of these men has even become a Zionist extremist who spouts the Jewish hate slur Goyim (meaning cattle in reference to all gentiles). None of these men seem reluctant in telling their own stories and experiences in the German Wehrmacht. The documentary also takes a look at German generals and other prominent military leaders of Jewish descent. German field Marshall Erhard Milch (who was half Jewish) is even exposed as someone that used Jewish slave labor.

Very interesting response, more than I ever dreamed actually. It's like a gift. Pleas go on, what other things do you see as similar between Hitler and Obama?
