Controversial Anti-Rape Device

So I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, I hate rape as much as the next well-meaning, good-natured man. On the other, I'm not sure that giving women everywhere an inexpensive means by which to mutilate a man's penis is going to make the world a better place (I read in another article about this subject that the device would cost approximately 15 cents per "Rapex", making it very affordable and available). I have no doubt that this would prevent rape and thusly serve a useful purpose, but I have to wonder if the same women who wouldn't think twice about fingering an innocent man for rape would use this device with malicious intent. Paranoid? Maybe. The whole idea of "Vagina Dentata" (a toothed Vagina) scares a lot of guys (understandably). But a BARBED vagina? Agh! I question whether this is a healthy solution to rape. Also worth mentioning is that some believe such a device could result in more women being killed as a result of using it on a violent attacker.

Your thoughts?

Edit: Some may consider this a Women's Issue, but I believe it to be an everybody issue (and I also think men should be encouraged to voice their opinions about rape, which can sometimes be that much more daunting in a Women's Issues forum).

I think its a good idea although your point about how it would increase the likelyhood that the woman would be killed should be taken into account.

It would be a convoluted plot to use the device maliciously. Chilli pepper condoms, or just a straight forward kitchen knife can all be used by a person with evil intent.

The more defence the better I say.

Women "cut men off" I don't see why we can't do the same.

 

hmmm... in concept it's a good idea, but in application.... the article mentioned worry of a woman being beaten (or killed) because of it. A woman could use it on some guy she doesn't like... lure him into bed and then get him fingered for a rape (no different than calling rape on someone innocent, except now you have more evidence). I have no pity for real rapists though, they should have pain in their nether regions for rape, it's just as bad as what they would do to a woman

 

Yeah, so now that I've gotta worry about vindictiveness I definitely am gonna keep to myself.

I'd be highly suspicious of any female coming on to me anyway.

 

Another reason I should kill myself. I would never rape somebody, but I bet a woman would use it agianst me. It wont be long before it becomes a joke to rip the skin off a mans penis, seeing as how people already find it funny to kick him in the balls.

If I got kicked in the balls, like so bad that I blead and couldn't reproduce, I would shoot the person who did it and then myself.

 

If a man rapes a woman waring one I hope his penis gets nice and fucked up!

Sounds like a good idea to me. Although it increases the chance of women "raping" men slightly, if the device ever comes into common use, it would decrease rape a lot. It does seem a little unsafe. And the whole concept makes me feel almost as squemish as rape for some reason.

he doesn't like women much. my mother an dsister were both victims of rape, and i've been harassed pretty badly a few time myself, so the vengeful side of REALLY LOVES this. but i know a lotta women who'll seek vegeance for cheating or whatever, and i could see them doing this a few times. then it would be a criminal act to do it almost instantly, because things that threaten or enhance a man's penis get instant attention and action. so it's kinda pointless.

 

There is no way a woman can rape a man with/without this device... unless the man is 5 foot tall- maybe a teenager but not someone who is above that age.
Anyway, ofcourse this should be designed in such a way that the man should be completely incapacitated once it gets on so that there is no way he can get up and attack in rage.

A clever idea! As to vindicktiveness, this should increase the popularity of a little foreplay greatly. "Doc, can you get this *##@** thing off my finger?" *LOL*

 

When you think about it, it is very hard to do that... unless you can completely outsmart the guy.

 

right , it would be something like that, but when a person is forcing himself on someone... i don't think the guy will have the time to think about what is up there and would just try to force the girl into submission... and it will get him. I think that will teach him.

Imagine the inverse "oh yeah, so I wore this contraceptive that shot barbed spikes into her birth canal." Think he'd get out in less than ten years? If he survives prison?

My "issues" are I'm a 30something white straight Anglo Saxon male. Therefore I'm responsible for the world's evil and expected to pay for everything. I'm also tired of bearing the brunt of all the feminist crap. Girls older than me never went through the PCU trip and girls younger than me think it's silly. But in my age range.... damn.
