well, not so much a rant....i'm not mad about it, just tired, lol well, Leane's days of needing to be swaddled so tight she can't move are long behind us....she's turned into a bed hog, lol. And it's only to me! She leaves her dad alone, and I just so happen to sleep on the outside of the bed (she's between us) and she rolls over and over and over, kicks off the sheets, puts her feet on me, pulls my hair out, sticks her fingers up my nose.....oh boy, I can't think of what else. It's cute, but not so much on a night like last night where I was up throwing up almost all night, and have a pinched nerve in my arm making it impossible to lay on my left side.... *yawn* anyone else have a bedhog? lol
Oh, sweetie, I hope you feel better. Nothing is fun when you have a tummy problem. Was it just a bout of gastroenteritis (tummy flu?) Make sure you keep hydrated today, (get some Pedialyte, and make sure you get enough salt) and try to rest. Have your man get some Bifidus for Leanne, so she has more protection from your tummy bug. Poor mama. (((((((((((((Kirsten)))))))))))))
, thanks for all the suggestions. i don't know what's causing it...I started birth control about a month and a half ago and an anti-depressant medication 4 days ago. I'm thinking that it's the anti-depressants causing the tummy upset. I feel just as neasous as when I was pregnant....it's awful. i'm off to have a shower to try and relax right away....
Hon. antidepressants shouldn't make you throw up all night, much less even once. Are you sure you aren't pregnant? Maybe it's just a bug. Blessings. And when you get out of the shower, TAKE A NAP. Dr. Maggie insists.
I feel your co-sleeping pain! Jim is all over me all night. He does pretty much like Leane. Also, he's started "talking" in his sleep! He'll just start babbling and even waving his hand to make his point, all while asleep! Since my DH and DS both wake up around the same time (about 7 am) he will usually take the bub in the living room and they hang out and let me sleep for an hour or so alone. Then, when DH has to get ready for work, he will bring DS back to the bed and we nurse and sleep for another hour or two. That way I get some more sleep, and DH and DS bond!
Riley is a huge bed hog... lol. All 9 pounds and 7 oz of her nearly rolls me out of bed each night. And guess what, she doesn't bug her daddy either while sleeping. Just me. I think at night when I feel her roll into me I subconsciencly roll the other way so I can give her breathing room and not roll on her. In the end I end up with half my body hanging out of bed, covered in hickeys (lol) and a sore back. She wakes up while I'm sleeping and instead of waking me up to eat sometimes she just attaches herself to random places on my skin and sucks until she sleeps, ouch.
Haha. That's cute. But, sounds painful.^^(Earthy Mama) When I took anti-depressants (a whole week then flushed them) my stomach was always sore. Your sore tummy might be a mixture of the BC pills and the AD. Maybe you should get a pregnancy test, though. Just to be sure.
about the pregnancy thing....i did have a period last week, so i figured i was in the clear....but i'm going to the 'biffy' a lot, too, which also has been making me wonder.... i suppose i will go get a test, but i don't really think i am pregnant.....
hummm....it says on my pill bottle that i should take it with food...last night i didn't, so i figured that's why i got so sick.....but then again, i was also sick all evening, too...i dunno.....maybe i am pregnant....but i had a period last week. it wasn't normal though, it was really really bright red. i'm confused. i layed down on my mom's bed with leane, watched a little tv, crocheted a bit....tried to doze off, but my should/arm is making that impossible. Anyone know what to do about a pinched nerve???...it's so bad it's making my eyes tear.
Sweetie, it may be time to see the doctor. You sound miserable. The blood, the vomiting, the pinched nerve ect. You need to see someone. Healing thoughts.
i feel better today...still a tiny bit neasous, but better my arm/shoulder even feels a bit better! i never took the anti-depressant last night, so i'm thinking that it may be that which was making me so sick. lol, and Leane even let us sleep ok, with the exception of waking up at 2am in her crib screaming her head off...we eventually gave her some gripe water and she passed right out. poor girl.
I know exactly what your talking about aiden is a bed hog. he rols over sprawls out on the one side where i sleep and leaves shane alone. aiden sleeps next to me and our side of the bed is against the wall. aiden sticks his fingers up my nose and finger in my eyes and he will lay on top of my head and get up and crawl around on the bed and then just sprawl out and go back to sleep. he has been doing that for the longest of times so i just learned to live with it.
very true. but lately it hasnt been a problem since shane has been staying up all night until 6 or 7 in the morning playing video games so aiden gets all the room he wants and i get all the space i need. so really in the end it all works out.
I feel your pain about co sleeping. ds1 (who is 2) sprawls out like he owns the bed (so does my husband) while me and ds2 (2 months, but 16 lbs!) are huddled in the corner!!! Sometimes it sucks, but then i see ds1 holding hands with ds2 in their sleep and I remember why I love co sleeping.
now, this morning was a hoot, and one of the reasons i love cosleeping! I had a horrible night again due to the pinched nerve in my shoulder and I was finally able to get some sleep at about 7 am this morning. By 8:30-9am, Leane always wakes up, but I was so out of it, I didn't even hear her wake up. Finally at about 9 or so, I opened my eyes and her face isn't even 2 inches from mine, just staring at me. I seriously wanted to scream, it scared the living crap outta me!
that is too funny. just wait until she learns how to give hugs and kisses. Aiden wakes me up by either giving me a big slobbery kiss on my nose or laying down over my head sometimes he will give me a rasberry on my stomach to wake me up.
The "Baby Stare." My kids all did this. Sunshine (nicknamed "The Food Monitor") would, as soon as Bear or I opened our eyes start yelling "OMeal-OMeal-OMeal-Omeal!!!!" Kid loves oatmeal. Jeez, let me wake up.
I like the idea of co-sleeping alot but my boyfriend doesn't because someone in his neighborhood rolled over on their 5 month old and killed him. But the dude was huge.
if your Bf isnt too fond of the idea you can always get a moses basket and stick the babe in that and have the big basket to protect the babe fjrom any one rolling over on him then when your hubby gets used to the fact that the babe is there then you can get rid of the moses basket. Or you could always let the babe sleep on your chest. Myson slept on my chest until he was 8 months or so.
