Dude I actually bought this thing. The whole reason I got into growing mushrooms was because I found this site by accident. I just bought the thing without doing any research first. So from having bought this thing let me tell you it is not worth it for sure. Everything that it comes with you probably have at home except maybe the digital thermometer and MycoJar Grow Jars. If you really want a fast easy way to grow mushrooms without doing any of the work, just buy presterilized jars and a spore syringe. Thats all you need man. Incubate at room temp in the dark. Then fruit one cake each in a cut off two litter bottle with seran wrap on top to keep humidity in. This is not how I do it, just saying it's a really easy way to do. But for sure don't buy that piece of crap. Do research first and you will see the MycoDome isn't worth it and also don't buy your spores from sporestore.com. They are the same people who do the mycodome just different site. I also bought my spores from them my first time and had quality issues with them that they refused to make better. Man I'm telling you if you want to grow mushrooms do research on www.shroomery.org and www.fungifun.org first. You will learn everything you need to know from those two sites.
Any mushrooms kits are completely a waste. Do you think they'd sell it to you for just material cost? Of course not. Just look up some info on the PF tek, try shroomtalk.org's forums, get a copy of The Mushroom Cultivator and DIY. It's much cheaper and much more fun.
