Well, it's a 26 episode TV series and also a movie. It comes from Japan and has a very distinctive tongue in cheek style, a serious side also underlies the plot, a certain tension that all the characters have loved and lost and are just searching for the next bounty. Here's the official movie site:

And this seems to be a good site for the series:

I first saw the series, then the film. I found all the episodes on limewire first of all but would like to get the DVD's. The film is available from HMV if you are interested.

Cowboy Bebop is truly legendary. Been watching it since I was a wee 13 year old or so. The film was also pretty good. The animation is impressive and the plot is very intricate.
    *love love love* Spike :)

It's much better watching it in Japanese though... Damn American translations, grrrrr

I'd have to say my favourite sessions would be session 5 (ballad of fallen angels) and session 25 or 26, can't remember, (real folk blues part 2). I love how similar they are. The scenes between Vicious and Spike are fantastic.

Check out the graphic novels aswell. They did 2 versions... the originals and then there's a series of graphic novels called the "Shooting Star" which are drawn by a different artist.

    [voice of Ed.] Faye Faye
    [voice of Jet] Spike-kun!
I totally agree, I've never watched any dubbed C.B. but other dubbed things (eg. Laputa - Castle in the Sky) are so badly done, all the humor is lost.
Hmm, I've never thought to pick a fave episode, I like #23 Brain Scratch alot, also the one in which Faye finds out about her past #18 Speak Like a Child, and #17 Mushroom Samba.. hilarious!
I agree with you about Vicious though, Spike's arch enemy, always in the background.
I didn't know about them, I'll look them up sometime.

Jet... Jet... yes haha! Loves his bonzai!

I love Cowboy Beebop! Ed and Spike are my faves. As far as episodes I'd agree with you on Speak Like a Child and Mushroom Samba. I love the last episode too, but it made me cry. :(
