i call it crazy b/c it was crazy. me and my friend trevor were bored and somehow we decided to camp out in the freezing weather. (this in the middle of winter and it was below zero but we didnt care) i went to tell my mom and she informed me of the blizzard that was about to hit our area and i shrugged it off and replied that i had a good sleeping bag and could handle it. i bugged her all day and told her i would come home if i got cold. she finally agreed and i went to help set up camp. we pitched the nylon coleman tent in a snow free area of his driveway and made a camp fire and got food from inside and all that. but soon we ran out of wood and i went to get my axe. i think i have more fun chopping wood than anyone else in the world. well we soon had enough wood to last us the night. the blizzard hit and we built up the fire to stay warm. around 2:00 in the morning we decided to get some sleep after eating some good beef stir fry made in a skillet. we put out the fire with some snow which took us awhile b/c it was a really hot fire and kept melting the snow. we went to bed and talked about music and stuff and were about to go to bed when trevor realized that the snow was really piling up outside. he felt the side of the tent and couldnt push the collapsing wall back to its normal position. he was afraid that the tent was going to cave in. so eventually i agreed to head in evan tho i didnt want to, the caved in wall being on his side. but we went back outside the next day after the storm and camped out again as we didnt pack anything up. we ate some more stir fry and were out there all day staring at the fire as campers do. we made it through the nite this time w/o any cave ins. we woke up ate breakfast and continued to hang out until it got late and we went to our houses for bed (b/c i had school tomorrow) he moved to vermont or colorado or some skiing state with his mom a few days later. too bad b/c i would have liked to camp out with him again this year. maybe someone can call me and we can camp in a blizzard some time.

please do me a favor and visit my other post "join our traveling commune, please?" in the communal living forum. email me if it sounds appealing to you.
