My friend bought some MDMA oil because he thought it might be cool to try and take it freebase. Of course now he wants to crystallize it since the freebase is a waste. He's tried to crystallize a bunch of different ways, following bright-star's advice (IPA anhydrous + Xylene --> pH 5-6, distill), or pure IPA + HCL + tritturate, even full-on gassing, and NOTHING, just oil in the end. Are there different states of MDMA oil? My friend has been told that Acetone will in this particular case, but Acetone is not an option, though anhydrous IPA and HCL are relatively easy. please help! :sunny:

Dripped in conc HCL to xylene/IPA sol to pH 5-6, distilled, no dice Dripped in conc HCL to xylene/IPA sol to pH 1-2, distilled, no dice dripped in conc HCL direct, no dice Dripped in conc HCL in IPA sol, no dice prayed, wept, tore my hair, promised to become a good person, no dice hence the question: can MDMA oil come in various states? Am I missing something here?
my friend doesn't have very much but doesn't want to waste it! Color is brown, heard the MDMA oil should be clear? Maybe distilling it first?
How sure is your friend that this is actually MDMA oil that he bought? Crystalization is a simple and easy step. Why would the person who sold it to him skip it when he could have some finished product in a couple of more hours? Does his MDMA oil have an odor? If so, what is it? Edit: I'm sorry, I didn't even read your post well enough. My guess is if you actually have MDMA oil is that you're letting water into it or the IPA. It won't crystalize in the presence of any water at all. Get rid of all the water, and try with straight xylene. Good luck.
