ayye. Im just wondering if i am able to get dreads if i have curly hair. I attempting dreads at the minute and have had them going for around three weeks and now its just kinda major frizzi.. and also what is the best way to start and get them crankin?? cheers Tommy boi
Curly hair is especially good for dreads, as it knots up more easily than straight hair. I've heard that using pure aloe gel is good for the friz as an alternative to wax... but other than that, there isn't much you can do about the wildness, haha. I'm about a week into mine now... they still look pretty neat... I'm just waiting for the frizz explosion . Oh and as for the best way... urm... I guess its more of a personal preference, there is no right or wrong way to start dreads... just keep em clean and you should be fine.
natural is by far the best way to go althougfh can take longer although with curly hair natural wont take all that long backcokmbing and twisty n rip atre options if your impatient but both are agressive painfull and dammaging to hair they can rip alot out at the roots even salons huge mistake dreadperms yuck the hatural dreads that grow in after the perem have a different look fereel and techture the best way to get dreads is to do nothing dreads happen on theyre own without any effort on your part
