Cutting Down for School

Well during this past summer I've smoked every day (almost always more than once). Anyways I can tell it has effected my memory a good bit (not a real bad thing though). For school I was thinking about cutting down ..only smoking on weekends (just so I can have an easier time remembering stuff).

Or do you think I could keep smoking everyday and keep my memory up and be able to study for tests and stuff?

How has eveyone else dealt with this?

 

Ur definatly right for cutting down for school, because i used to smoke lunchtimes and stuff and well its just not enjoyable being asked questions and answering like a mong or not at all.

 

i only smoke on weekends even during the summer..dont need it everyday...

it IS possible to do great in school as a stoner, i know this from personal experience. but for some people it might prove to be a really difficult thing.

 

I hardly ever attended class stoned back in high school, I did it more often in the last semester of senior year since it didn't really matter. The effect on my performance depended on the course subject... I don't imagine I'd ever do well in a math class while high. English (which I always did well in), on the other hand, my grades actually went up in that class when I began smoking.

 

Yeh its just too hard to remember eveything and concentrate well enough to remember in the first place.

ooook, i have never been a stoner, aka regular marijuana smoker, so I'd like to know if you can... you know be at school while stoned? If you can be at school if you smoke for example at lunchtime. Can ya? thanks for the answers.

 

some people can, some people can't. i was one of the people who could get high at and during school and still be able to function. on the other hand, a few of my friends weren't able to do that. i dunno, it depends on the person.

 

some classes you cant arrive high to because of lack of concentration


but the ones that you can arrive high to

do it every day and youll be suprised with an "A"

 

I used to know someone who would smoke in the locker rooms every day before gym class...sounds like not that great of a plan though, getting high then having to run a mile or so and totally lose your buzz...

 

running and being active while high is great. it might have been part of his plan, having the buzz kille dafter gym for the rest of the day.?

Yeah man I did the same thing, pretty much every day, and it really fucked things up for me, so I stopped and did something else, I began to put my money into other things like records and playing music, and now I'm pretty fucking happy with where things are, now that I'm back home for the summer I smoked a few times, got drunk a lot, but things arn't falling back to where they use to be, my advice is try something new, (not drugs).

Have you ever been caught while high by a teacher? I mean... on classes? kinda like: «Mr. don't know what, what's the answer for this qu...Jeeeeeeeesus christ... ya fucking high!»

There was this guy called Ellice in my school who was like the biggest stoner imaginable, and my Chemistry teacher asked him wat the catalyst for the Habor process was (for making ammonia) and he Replied -Bread- in like a stoner grunt, several people were screaching with laughter and most people were in tears, kinda one of those "in the moment" things were it was VERY funny.

 

oh, some of my teachers definately knew that i was high, but as long as i could do my work, it wasn't that big of a deal. sometimes they would call on me to hear something funny to come out because i was high...even though i'd answer the correct answer, it would be funny what type of spin i would put on stuff. some teachers knew, but none of the administration ever found out. ahhh fun times.

 

i used to be the same way.. id smoke everymorning then id skip 2nd period and smoke then skip lunch, then if i felt like it at the end of the day id skip 6th. i wish i never did that it totally fucked me up, so if i were you i wouldnt smoke during school save it for weekends and after school

 

I never smoked during school when I was in highschool, however, in college old highschool buddies and myself would hotbox in the parking lot and show up to our lectures / classes mauled, wasnt that bad during the class but as the year went on I could tell that it was causing me to lose interest in some courses, hence id often be late or absent during the final few months.

For most of high school, I don't think many people that didn't know me could tell I smoked pot... I was one of the top-ranked people academically so people didn't fit that together with being a stoner. At least I know quite a few people that figured it out later were shocked. It was the same for most of my teachers... except my one English teacher, and she just found it funny when I was high in class. She was a really cool teacher, she got me into H.S. Thompson's writings.
