Ok, I got bored and went to the DARE website, in the kids section. Apparently they got a section for kids to submit their "cool" raps and their "cool" rhymes... Ill post some.. man im "awsome"

Heres one.. probably one of the kids that was most misslead...

My Dare Rap

Smoking turns your lungs BLACK

If you go ahead and SMOKE
You are going to CROAK

If you smoke POT
Your brain will ROT

When you drink BEER
You can't think CLEAR

If you take a DRUG
You will turn into a SLUG

When you get HIGH
You might try to FLY
And you will DIE


So if you go to a Party
Be a SMARTY!

Listen to my VOICE
Make the right CHOICE

If you never drink and DRIVE
You will have a good chance of staying ALIVE

 

I went to a Birthday Party

I went to a birthday party
but I remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink at all,
so I had a Sprite instead.
I felt proud of myself,
the way you said I would,
that I didn't choose to drink and drive,
though some friends said I should.
I knew I made a healthy choice and
your advice to me was right
as the party finally ended
and as the kids drove out of sight.
I got into my own car,
sure to get home in one piece,
never knowing what was coming,
something I expected least.
Now I'm lying on the pavement.
I can hear the policeman say,
"The kid that caused this wreck was drunk."
His voice seems far away.
I try hard not to cry.
I can hear the paramedic say,
"This girl is going to die."
I'm sure the guy had no idea,
while he was flying high,
because he chose to drink and drive
that I would have to die.
So why do people do it,
knowing that it ruins lives?
Tell my sister not to be afraid,
tell daddy to be brave,
and when I go to heaven to
put "Daddy's Girl" on my grave.
Someone should have taught him
that it's wrong to drink and drive.
Maybe if his mom and dad had,
I'd still be alive.
My breath is getting shorter,
I'm getting really scared.
These are my final moments,
and I'm so unprepared.
I wish that you could hold me, Mom,
as I lie here and die.
I wish that I could say
I love you and good-bye.

I just wanna know what 12 year old's birthday do they offer beer? And when 12 year old's started to drive themselves home... funny world this is

My teachers read that 2nd poem before the end of school every year to remind us not to drink and drive. It's been around forever. I doubt it was really written by a 12 yr old girl, probably by some sad middle aged fuckhead.

I'm not even gonna get into how much the first one sucks.

 

Well...that first one just...I ahve nothing to say aobut it...the second one makes a good point, but we sure as fuck weren't drinking at my 12th birthday party...

 

Dope might look good, but it’s really bad;
Only the dumb people use it as their fad.

It will make you feel high, but you are really low;
It makes you forget the things you would always know.


Drugs will damage your brain and you will lose a lot of cells;
Your head will start to hurt and it will ring like bells.

You start to hang with the gangs who say they’re your friend;
But that is only the beginning of the end.

And when you’re in jail, and your mind is very slow;
Just think all you had to say was that one word: "NO!"

I is for ignorant towards the effects of marijuana, thus feeding children lies about it at a young age

C is for the countless innocent people arrested for marijuana

E is for eat cock in their spare time

M is for the marijuana confiscated that Americans worked hard for

A is for the asshole cops that arrest stoners

N is for hating niggers

Yeah, half the people in that list aren't even guilty. Not enough people realize how much pain the police state is willing to cause regardless of how unjustified it is.

 

how come all the people who write those poems are so young?

 

Someone else probably wrote it and made it look like it was a kid. At least that's what I think.

 

cuz its from DARE kids... and they teach dare from 3rd grade to 5th... so its gonna be younger kids, with young minds
