Hola! My mother and I are going to Spain in June for 11 days. I am SO excited. I have been there before (as a student at U. Salamanca), but we will be visiting some places with which I am not perfectly familiar. My main questions: 1. I want to spend most of our trip in Andalucia. I definitely want to see Cordoba and Granada. Are those 'do-able' day trips from Seville, or should we plan to stay overnight in those cities? Also, what are other good day-trips from Seville? 2. Where should we go for Flamenco in Seville? When I was there as a student, we saw this incredible show in this amazingly atmospheric little courtyard... I can't describe how wonderful it was, and I can't remember the name of the place. Advice? 3. Where should we go for really authentic tapas in Barcelona or Sevilla? Muchas gracias! -Eva
1. Ronda, Cadiz, Jerez and Huelva are all good spots for a day-trip from Sevilla. 2. I have no idea. 3. Sevilla definetely!
1. Cordoba is not very far from Sevilla at all so you could do that in a day. I reckon it will take 3-4 hours to get to Granada so would recommend an overnight if possible. 2. Not sure 3. Not sure You may want to consider visiting the Costa del Sol - you could include this on your journey from Sevilla to Granada - and take in Marbella and Malaga, both of which are beautiful and worth a look.
