The United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is using its emergency scheduling authority to temporarily control five chemicals (JWH-018, JWH-073, JWH-200, CP-47,497, and cannabicyclohexanol) used to make “fake pot” products.

People talk so much shit on jwh. Well fuck you if it makes my life a little bit easier from time to time. I've heard there's overdose potential with this. weed doesn't have overdose potential so it's automatically safer

The only people I know that do it are some of the most irresponsible drug users I know. I honestly haven't researched it that much but I'm trusting my instincts on this one.

I've heard that the chemicals break down when exposed to heat in a way that makes them highly carcinogenic. i dont really know if theres truth to that..i dont smoke the stuff so i've never felt the need to research it, but it would be worth looking into.

You know at one time pot was thought to be a killer drug that would make people go mad.

I've heard a few people smoke a bit too much and freak out on this stuff, none who I personally know but other than that I've heard some try it and not like it, some not like it as much as pot but smoke it due to accessibility, or random drug tests, and some even do prefer it to POT.

 

That's possable, I can't know for sure. But tell me why synthetic cannabonids don't have just as much potential for medical benifet as the organic ones?

Find me another medication that's organic. I know there are a few, but come on. The "it's bad cause it's not natural" argument is flacid and overused.

agreed, I hate this argument because when it comes down to it everything came from the earth in some way

but when there is a "natural" version that we know a lot about and a "synthetic" version that we know next to nothing about, why choose the one you don't know that much about?

 

ANY new government (and old too) regulation or law that clamps down on the ability of free, adult, SOVERIGN (over their own body spaces theoretically) people over what they chose to do with or put into their own bodies is EVIL!

Yes, you make a good point. But our lack of scientific understanding of a compound should drive us to study it and learn it's possible uses and harms.... not to demonize or glorify it with ignoriant preconseptions.

 

I have no idea if all this synthetic THC is dangerous or not, but how can you use that comment as a valid argument? That is a weak as the other statement.

The synthetic cannaboids are still research chemicals and should therefore be treated as such. I think it's a faulty statement to make, that because you haven't felt any bad side effects in the 6-12 months it should be considered safe.

I don't agree with all this banning and regulations of drugs and RC's, but considering all this heat there has been lately it doesn't surprise me.
