I am in a car. I am with E, a long ago ex-girlfriend although in the dream we are still together. We are coming back south from visiting my grandparents in the north. I am looking out the windshield at the road, a steep hill to the right. I am in the passenger seat. I look over and there is no one driving. I look back and E is in the back seat. The wheel is kind of skittering slightly from side to side. I say "Well, maybe I should drive, then." and climb into the driver's seat. The car is going too fast. I don't think it will stay on the curvy road. I tap the brakes, thinking it may be on cruise. The car doesn't slow down. I press on the brakes and we still don't slow. There is a curve, and the car goes off the road to the right, up the steep hill and begins to flip over. The scene goes white. We are walking back the way we came. I stop E and turn to face her. "You're dead." I say. "I know" she replies. I say "I'm sorry! I couldn't stop it! The car just kept going..." and start to sob, while hugging her tightly. "It's okay", she says. I wake up. I was very disturbed by this dream this morning. Generally dreams don't affect me this way. Looking back at it one thing that jump out are that I said "You're dead" rather than "We're dead" and that seems significant. Also, I have had a lot of dreams of cars that wouldn't behave properly (especially not being able to slow down) but this is the first one that had a fatality in it. Any insight would be appreciated.
thats wierd...i dont know about yours,, but last night i nearly crashed in a car.. then i ended up in another one, like i had been racing..and i felt when i woke up i was involved in a challenge of somekind i didn't wish to be in.
I had a similar dream last week.. driving very slow and the roads icy, going around a corner, brakes don't work, car slowly flips over and I fly through the windshield and land on the ground and lay there for a few mins paralyzed then slowly able to move my head, then i woke up
