Anybody listen to the really heavy shit? My favorites are Whitechapel, Behemoth, Wolves in the Throne Room, Suffocation, Job for a Cowboy, Winds of Plague, Born of Osiris.
IXXI wins for black metal Outbreak wins for hardcore Birdflesh wins for grindcore Trepalium wins for death metal
Entombed, Death, Atheist, Immolation, Gorguts, Dismember, Autopsy, all good death metal. Currently I've been blasting Human by Death and Clandestine by Entombed.
captain not sure what you mean? pretty sure wolves in the throne room are black. and suffocation IS death. Neuroptican - YOU KNOW WHATS UP!
go listen to Unfurling a Darkened Gospel by Job for A Cowboy and tell me what's wrong with it. P.S your sig picture is pretty epic.
oh and Mayhem. and you didn't really say what was wrong with the Jfac besides baggin on their drummer. I live near them and they're cool dudes who just have an awful rep because they made some shitty deathcore when they were like 15 years old. but yeah...everything about wolves is epic. they live in the woods for fucks sake.
They're soft man. It's so fake sounding. It's like you can tell they just write half assed songs as fast as they can to get the next album out so they don't drop out of the spot light. It's a good thing nobody ever took them seriously.
The problem with JFAC is that they try too hard to be technical. They sacrifice good song writing for techincality. Triggered technicality at that. It sounds like a big mishmash of douchebaggery. The vocals only put the final nail in the coffin.
I don't like them but don't shit on them for using studio magic or triggers. Work in a studio for a little bit and you will see that nothing you hear is the way it was actually recorded 99.9 % of music regardless of genre is fixed in a studio
I suppose. The new suffocation has pretty slick production...but whatever. any other bands you guys like? and I know you guys know Slaves Shall Serve by Behemoth! is the beginning evil or what? I wanna know what the fuck they're saying. haha. oh and Pat...yeah my band just recorded and it's the most hellish experience ever.
That's why I listen to DIY bedroom IDM artists who have never stepped foot in a studio. It's refreshing, people are still making really good music without hi-tech gear. Also I just hit up JFAC's myspace to listen to some newer material and it's all one big breakdown. The production is crazy flawless though, whoever produced that shit deserves some kudos.
