i have basically two options, and they are driving me absolutely insane. what do you think?

    1) pros: small liberal arts college, rural, great academics, class and study abroad program i really like.
cons: less fin. aid, very far away, so it would be $$ and hard to split my time between visiting my parents, who live in different states.

    and

    2) pros: good academics, familiar area, close to family, more fin. aid, could get away when i needed to.
cons: big university, doesn't have that class program i like, or the full international exchange program like #1. and the rumor is that it's mostly rich apathetic types.

so... i have to decide by the end of april, and i just don't know.
has your choice of university really had a big impact on what you're able to do?
am i just making too big a deal out of this? :p
    thanks for any advice!

for better or worse, i picked 2.

frankly it was my only option, for various financial and family reasons.
maybe someday i will no longer have to negotiate my life around other people, but who knows?
    oh well.

    I cannot stand my university.

I went there because it was the only one I could really afford (Full scholarship)...

The academics are ridiculous, there are no good study programs, and the caf food sucks.

But it does have some amazing people.

Anyhow... point is... it's just your undergraduate year... it doesn't really matter where you go right now, as long as you just get a degree :)

trying to delay the real world for as long as possible.
