this is my "how to use the search button" tutorial, brought to you by free time and ms paint

first, you look at the top of the stoners lounge forum, right under the forum description:




There, you see the search button, and that it has a drop arrow. Click on Search this forum:




When you click Search this Forum, the search box will drop down for you. You can choose to search threads matching your topic, or posts. You decide. But you have to type something in the box:

(Since I can only use 4 pictures, I removed this one: this is a picture of the drop down box, with "TYPE SOMETHING HERE" filled in, indicating: Type in what you want to search in this box) ** see picture in next post **


After you are satisfied with what you type, and you think it is either just vague enough, or just specific enough for your liking, you click Go:




After you click Go, you will be brought to your final destination, and that phase of your search is complete. There you will see a list of all threads/posts that are related to your key words:




After you get to this page, this is where you do the manual searching. Now, obviously, if you don't make your search specific enough, you'll get random threads/posts with common words you've entered into the search. So be specific. But if you think specific is the wrong way to go, be vague so you'll get a larger cache of good threads to peruse.

Now, as I said, that's where you'll need to do the manual searching, but that's okay, b/c that's where you won't get flamed and hated on by all of us who have already answered your question.

haha, it just hit me this morning before i went to work

and i knew i had to do it after i got back

so i did, even though i for some reason thought it would take me longer than it did

i probably could have posted the first half in the first post, and the second in the second, so i didn't have worry about image restrictions

but oh well

even if i did have other hilariously unrelated images to share

also, i love the internet, and how the internet added a 4th step

considering the original:

@stephen - it might be less saving people from his wrath, and redirecting his wrath in the form of "read horace's thread!" instead of plainly "use the fucking search button!"

b/c no matter how much i love watching people get owned, people will only continue to get owned if they don't even know HOW to use the search button

so right now, joker saying "use the search button" is like grampa simpson, "old man yells at cloud"

i guess what i'm trying to say is that if people have a place to go to LEARN how to use the search button, and then still don't, it makes joker's wrath all the more legitimate

so it's a win-win
