I wash my hair with that, minus the tea tree oil, about once every two weeks or so, and my hair is incredibly soft too. I have a lot of undreaded hair under my dreads that just don't want to dread up. My hair is just naturally soft, no matter what I use to wash it. I tried using dr. bronners for a while before I started using that concoction, and that left my hair incredibly soft too. I use salt water spray sometimes too. My hair is just really really soft, even when I don't wash it. It's ridiculous. I don't know what to do. Sorry I didn't help any.

The Tea Tree is wicked important IMO, really gets the gunk out :)

yes, it cleans good but it untangled a lot of my hair, and made if very "fluffy" like you say. But it cleans very good. If i do it again i wont leave it in for 15 minutes.

i''ve used that before and love it! every time i use it(once twice so far) my hair comes out feeling cleaner than even before i had knots in it =p
i know what you mean by "softening up", the same thing happens to me, and i don;t use tea tree oil either.

i wouldn;t worry about it man, just stop washing it for a while...it shouldn't be too difficult to wash your hair. =D

just got teatree and bronners so think i'll try the mix with teatree next time then alternate with bronnbers

i do love the stuff though, feel so clean and all the lil fuzzies between dreads are formin new dreads..just very soft ones..heehee

yeah its probably a little too often, i wash my dreads once a week with tea tree oil soap, or alata soap ( its from Ghana ) then do the deep clean once a month i find that works enough.

I always find my dreads a are super tight after the deep clean but really light

I'd say that's far too often, even for someone who goes to festivals a lot (bonfires cause lots of soot in the dreads, dont they lol). I'd have thought maybe ten mins every few months would be enough?
