Dennis is: 1. Anti-War 2. Pro-Choice 3. Pro-Legalization of Marijuana 4. Pro-Civil Liberties (not "states' rights", but YOUR rights) 5. Pro-Environment 6. Anti-Supply Side Economics 7. Pro-Poor 8. Anti-Corporate 9. Pro- Civil Rights 10. Pro- Renewable Energy 11. Anti-"War on Terror" (which is bullshit) 12. Pro-Religious (or non-religious) FREEDOM! DENNIS KUCINICH IS THE BEST CANDIDATE OUT THERE. FAR BETTER THAN RONALD REAGAN-GEORGE WALLACE PAUL.
-- DENNIS believes in YOUR rights, not just "State's rights". When is the last time a STATE got pregnant or fell in love?
He's the perfect choice. Which is why he will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ( I cannot help emphasizing this) win.
The sad reality is, while Kucinich is perfect, the general public who decides who the president will be is far from perfect.
But who is going to vote for him? He has about as much chance of winning the presidency as I do. At least Ron Paul has the public support to win. The only thing standing in his way is the establishment, which is deathly afraid of him and will do anything to attempt to discredit him. Besides, nobody is going to vote for somebody who looks like Mr. Spock.
Kucinich is a socialist and believes the government serves to run and manage your life. That's not freedom.
Sorry, Rat. Even though Ron Paul APPEARS to be a "Libertarian" and opposes the war, I still can't vote for someone who was practically endorsed by Ronald Reagan, who believes in supply side economics and who believes a STATE should decide about a woman's pregnancy or a gay couples' right to marry.
I wonder who WILL win? Hilary? Eww Obama? Ehh Giulani? Republican... Or Ron Paul, a republican in disguise? I don't know of anyone who could help our country more than Kucinich - or at all...
Not me. Sorry, Matt. You'd have to have more consideration for a woman's ownership of her own body (not a State's) before you'd get my support.
Could you clarify this? Poor people need jobs and businesses/corporations are the providers of jobs. If Kucinich is pro-poor and anti-corporate then doesn't he have a counter-productive stance? Who does he think is going to give these poor people employment? What is Dennis' position on taxes in relation to business?
He is anti-corporate in the sense that he supports regulations on corporate entities that will screw poor people out of their retirement and equal pay. These entities can and have laid off people or terminated them prior to their retirements, went bankrupt after issuing CEOs millions of dollars in "bonus money" and then folding leaving these poor people to hang out and dry. He opposes corporate abuses of human rights as well. Dennis is also very pro-labor and his T.R.-style of regulations are what we need in today's BUSHCO America. That's what I am speaking of when I say "anti-corporate." Dennis is a supporter of progressive taxation. Which is the best form, seeing how corporations and the wealthy use and abuse more resources, they should pay more into the system. Capitalist Feudalism would not be good.
Is Kucinich being realistic about having the U.S gov't being the sole provider of healthcare? Can the U.S gov't realisticlly provide healthcare for 300 million Americans? Can someone name a country that has a similar sized population as America's and where the gov't is the sole provider of healthcare?
Is Ron Paul realistic? No. Look, MOTION... it is VERY FEASIBLE to cover every family of citizens in the United States, simply by PROPER MONEY MANAGEMENT such as CUTTING the Pentagon's over-sized, bloated budget. For the cost of this WAR, we could've funded most everyone in America-- it's all HOW you manage the budget. If you want a break down, just go to "TrueMajority.com" and watch it happen.
Waiting list for heart surgery getting longer... cbc ---------------------- Kucinich should spend more time researching the Canadian single payer system before he advocates it for America. Americans just aren't going to find this appealing. Most Americans who say they want a gov't run system aren't familiar with these problems. Has Kucinich addressed the problems that countries like Canada have with their system? --------------------------- Even some Canadians themselves are seeing the need to add some privately provided medical care(for profit) to ease the strain on their gov't system. Canada taking small steps toward private health care.. iht
