do you guys liek your feet dirty aswell? oh yea here in wales its jsut snowed and it wass my first time barefoot in the snow, all i can say is WHAT A FEELING, it was fantastic so whats your opinon on dirty feet and being abrefoot in the snow?
I dont know about snow because I live in Georgia where it rarely snows.......As far as dirty feet....they get dirty....thats why you wash them.
yeah, dirty feet are a sign of a barefooter and I like the "slick" feeling that it gives. we don't get a lot of snow in SE Texas either.
My outdoor barefooting comes pretty much to a halt when cold weather and snow set in. That said, I have ventured as far as my driveway to get to my car in barefeet this winter. I can't say that running through the snow was unpleasant, but I was glad to be out for only a few minutes. I guiltily admit to purposefully trying to get my feet dirty while out barefoot, especially when I was first starting to go out in public without shoes. Chad
Personally speaking, I tend to be rather disappointed if my soles aren't black enough afther a night out on the town Some of you might remember a previous post of mine where I confessed to breaking the old jump rope out so I could get my soles darker in a more timely fashion In that case-I don't think there's anything wrong with cheating. As far as barefooting in snow goes, I think I'll politely pass this time. The elements are just too cold and uncomfortable to get any kind of thrill from it. I attempted to workout in my garrage barefoot the other day. Needless to say, the cement floor proved to be too cold for my poor soles. I don't think I lasted thirty seconds before I could be seen reaching for my slippers Quick question: Do any of you exercise barefoot? Have you experienced any pain afterwards as a result? Last summer, it seemed the morning after working out with the jump rope, I could barely put any weight on my feet. I don't know if I managed to give myself some sort of stress fracture or possibly aggravated some form of tendonitis. Needless to say, I learned to tollerate the pain as the summer went on. There were three men who ran the Boston Marathon barefoot last year. I would love to know how their joints felt after that.
I did a lot of barefooting last summer, but I still hadn't gotten the seriously black soles I wanted. I took off my shoes while walking on Main Street one day, and I went into a CD/record shop. While looking around in the store, I happened to lift up my foot for a look, and was pleased to see they were jet black on the bottoms. I remember thinking, "Yeah, that's what I'm talking about!" The floor must have been filthy! Mark
I like when the bottoms of my feet are dirty, shows I did a good amount of barefooting. In fact, my feet get so do black on the bottoms during the summer, they really dont get clean anymore. Also, I think dirty feet on females are very sexy.
I was just noticing the preponderance of male replies on this topic and it made me wonder if this represents a disconnect between male and female barefooters. Do female barefooters (in general) enjoy having particularly dirty soles? Chad
I am always barefoot, and when I go out, I expect them to get dirty. If they dont, gee, I must have been walking on clean ground.
I don't usually avoid getting my feet dirty but neither is it one of the things I particularly enjoy about barefooting. It just happens, or it doesn't, depending on where I walk. I don't recognise this 'dirty soles are extra cool' thing, although I sorta like the dusty feet I sometimes get in summer, not just the soles but when it's hot enough my feet will get a bit sweaty even on top, and the dust sticks to them... prolly 'cause that doesn't happen too often; bare feet are so well-ventilated it has to be quite hot, which isn't common. But black soles? They get black when walking on parking lots and other polluted places, and it wears off real quick when you walk another street (let alone grass or sand)... big deal. And sometimes having dirty feet can be inconvenient, I like to pull my feet up under me when I sit in a chair so if they're really dirty and I'm wearing light clothes, or if it's light upholstery... well you get the idea... usually I try to do it at home only (even when my feet are clean, putting feet up in public places is usually considered impolite), but sometimes I'll just pull them up out of habit anyhow.
I'm with Myranya on this topic. I don't go out of my way to get my soles dirty, although back in grade school I thought it was cool for someone to have dirty soles. Nowadays I like seeing tough soles more than dirty soles. In fact, tough soles tend to get less dirty because they are harder and drier. I wash off my feet before going inside the house.
I agree. I think the tougher your soles are the less likely dirt will stick to them. They become more like the bottoms of leather shoes. I've found that to be the case personally. Sometimes I'll walk in what looks like really dirty places, but afterward my feet still seem to be relatively clean on the bottom. My feet always seem to get the blackest in places that actually appear very clean, such as the floors of grocery or hardware stores, or quite clean-looking carpets in hotels or casinos. I have no problem with getting my feet black and dirty, that's just part of being barefoot and is only natural. I do try to avoid tracking any dirt or stains into my house if I can, but never go beyond just vigorously wiping my feet on a doormat. I have no problem with someone coming into my house with shoes on, as long as there's no obvious mud or something like that on them, so there's no reason that my bare feet need to be any cleaner than someone's shoes to come into my house.
I think having dirty feet is just part of being a barefooter. I also like foot decorations too, such as toe rings, and for females, nail polish.
I think dirty, tough feet are the signs of a true barefooter! There's nothing more sexy than a girl with black feet. I dated a couple of barefooters and the best thing was not being able to tell which of us had the filthier feet at the end of the day. One liked to stand on my feet if we were in a line and I got the top of my foot cut by a small piece of glass that was stuck in her callusses.
in the summer, i run around everywhere barefoot. my feet are always dirty. people used to call me blackfoot
Hell yeah Only got them truly dirty once, in a store. Otherwise they're just a little grubby. Not overly fussed, but can appreciate it. Feels like I'm doing it right. As for walking in snow ... no idea as it's never snowed where I am (south coast of England) since I took up the barefoot thing. It's on my to-do list though.
haha Im a blackfooter.....thats why in my earlier psot i said "well if they get dirty i jsut wash them" cause its really no big deal when your feet are black all the time anyways lol....really i am more of a brownfooter lol....I live in the country so Im not always on the blacktop, but yeah yall know what i mean.....my paws are like my dogs lol...peace.
I don't mind dirty soles and feet and clean feet are fine too. It all depends upon where you're hiking or walking. Cities with soot really stain the soles and wooded trails are sometimes muddy. Just yesterday I took a nice hike over snow, ice, mud, pine needles and gravel. It was just warm enough to allow a long winter walk without the threat of frostbite but still cold enough to go numb after long icy stretches. Everytime I got into the mud I'd walk thru the melting snow and leave dirty footprints behind. I was able to get all cleaned off and leave my muddy bare footprints as a calling card. Any one else enjoying the warmer weather in the north east? Archie
