Hmm...this is really getting old. Who are we after this time?
Everyone is a danger to the world but the one country who has the most nukes! And the one that has used them! (Remember Hiroshima?)
And now here it comes again - another series of lies and propaganda. What do they do - go eany, meany, miney, moe, which aerial picture will we show today?
(If this wasn't so scarey it would be funny)

CNN's Nuke Plant Photos Identical for Both Iran and N. Korea!
Who's the source for the photos?!
And are there any responsible corporate media outlets left in America?!

[IMG]Two stories posted in the last week on the CNN website, one on nukes in Iran last Wednesday, and another on nukes in North Korea on Saturday, both use the same aerial photograph of the same purported nuclear power plant!

But one is supposed to be in Iran and the other is supposed to be in North Korea!

A story posted Saturday to CNN's website suggesting that North Korea is rallying behind their leader Kim Jong Il in his latest nuclear saber-rattling makes use of a satellite photo described in the caption as "An aerial photo of North Korea's Yongbyon nuclear plant outside of Pyongyang".

I went to both of the CNN pages and the power plant for North Korea is different than the Iran one. Maybe they changed it as people caught on? or maybe I'm just stupid. Either one is a safe bet. heh.

Yes, they did change it - if you click on the link, he was watching it and waiting to see what happened once CNN got word of it. Suddenly, without explanation, the picture was changed - no text...the blogger kept trying to talk to someone about it...then suddenly some text appreared to say that they had used the wrong photograph.
I am quite sure they don't have a big envelope in a file somewhere called "aerial pictures of nuclear sites all over the world" and when there is a need they go in and find one to fit it. Or maybe they do? BUT, one would suspect that the sources who give them the information would provide them with a picture in evidence of it at the same time. Surely...so how could you get "confused" about the actual picture - especially since they are clearly dated? Hmmm...
(Listen Luke, I'm afraid your daddy went over to the dark side long, long ago...but may the Force be with You anyway!...lol)

Well, North Korea admitterd they have nuclear weapons so....

Is it that unbelivable that CNN would make a mistake and post the wrong picture? CNN makes mistakes all the time.

Nuclear Weapons are a strategic advantage that prevented a major war conventional war betwen the US and the soviets, saving millions.

And because The US has used them in the past, doesn't mean we should allow every vile dictatator on Earth to have them. You might as well just say we should sell em on Ebay.

I'm not really that worried about a war with Iran... Russia is planning to help Iran develop a nuclear power system... I doubt Bushco are dumb enough to go to war with an ally of Russia.

Well Iran isn't Russia's ally, but you're probably right.

And Irans going to end up with nukes, which is very very bad news for Israel.

You know, this isn't really about who has nukes, who is allied with who, and whether or not we'll go to war.

This is about the propoganda Big Brothers spews from his mouth and the thoughtless baby birds that open their mouth and eagerly take what they are given.

I don't think they'll actually use nuclear weapons, but maybe Iran having nukes will put a halt on Israel's aggressiveness against Palestine.

    Scary thought either way. :(

Iran doesn't really want a Palestinian state, Ayatollah Khameni has said several times that Irans seeks the total abolition of the Israeli state... and hes kinda a moderate compared to Sistani.

Not only would Israel have something to be worried about, it could cause a nuclear arms race in the middle east... I don't see anyway that could end well.

i wouldn't any less safe if iran had nukes and israel didn't - israel breaks international law as much as iran. at least iran isn't a goddamn us pawn.

Thats very naive, Israel is a democratic republic, and Iran is a vicious theocracy. A child could recognise the difference, Israel's not going to collapse at any second. If the Ayatollah dies, iran could collapse, and those weapons could be on the market in the Middle East.

I fully suport Noth Korea having nuclear weopns. If you havn't noticed, The United States only attackes countries which cannot defend themselves. Noticed how we atacked Iraq which may have had nuclear wepons, and we did not go after North Korea who did.

North Korea is not going to use its nukes, and is only trying to protect itself from people who want to take away their people's right to live as they choose, under communism.

We didn't attack North Korea because China is an ally of theirs, and China has the largest and second strongest military on Earth.

North Korea probably won't use their nukes, but the people have no say in the process of communism going on over there. No citizens of North Korea are chosing to live under communism... they're more concerned about the major poverty stricking the nation.

japan and South Korea are going to start nuclear programs now that North Korea has given up on weapons talks.

More nukes in the world... thats what you hippies want I guess.

Sir, that no one over there is choosing to live under communism is a falsehood.

Well of course the people making the policy are chosing to live under communism... but they're kinda exempt from the system.

I don't care if You're communist or not, but North Korea is not at all a bastion of individual rights,

    Probably,

but that doesn't excuse North Koreas abismal human rights record, or its threat to its neighbors.

They're still a lot better off with nuclear weapons then Syria or Iran though. [IMG]
