disgusted with U.S. Marine media...

I hate this campaign they have done that I have seen in movie theatres, this is what it says, followed by what some think it really is, then followed by a silly little fun of the slogan. See what you think...

On a serious note, I've met active duty Marines at peace gatherings (though not in uniform, of course).

 

You know, I actually was thinking about explaining that to some of them, not to all marines of course. Some actually do sign up for good reasons. I think I was just disgusted and referring to the one's who love the art of war like a chess game and using the rest of the people like pawns. I know there are too many out there like that and frankly after the way the U.S. country has acted and no military standing up for the rites (domestic problems too) that this country was founded on....well...what can I say- not enough did much patriotism or anything to prevent disaster that was inflicted by our own government to it's own people. If you are trained so much to not think what is actually right but just to follow like many military are, then there is not much of a chance for peace, anywhere.

 

man fuck that. it doesnt matter what reason they joined the services but the point is they did and that is something that not in a million years could i be brave enough to do. sure violence is never the answer but at least they still have the courage to do something. we should be giving marines nothing but our help and respect cause god knows that after stop loss's and 3rd and 4th tours theyre gonna come home broken. its the ones in high up power that desrve the wrath of your wit, not the lowly foot soldiers.

 

You do have a point, a very valid one. But as a soldier, military wherever you are...they all take the same oath to stand up against foreign AND Domestic problems. You can't possibly say that the lower one's haven't caused some problems of their own by the training they receive, what it does to their mind, and a troubled enough individual who starts off at the bottom who just wants to play war games and get to the top. Not every mind can handle it and not everyone who joins is innocent. I admire the one's who can and not get wrapped up into the chess game. I just also find it wrong to go publisizing mililtary like it's a candy bar to be enjoyed. There would be nothing left to fight for.

 

those commercials make me gag, i cant stand watching them. it shows how brainwashed the american people are.

that was just...bullshit. brainwashed sheeple join the marines because they think there fulfilling a "patriotic duty" and/or its going to "help them" later, like how the military pays for college, or some other shit like that. american citizens are susceptible to years of ruling class propoganda, that protrays military service as something everyone should do. what REALLY goes on though, is the destruction of civilizations, and mass murder of millions of people because the US is an imperialist nation, and this is in its nature.

what we SHOULD be giving the marines, is all the criticism we can muster, because they do nothing progressive, and only destroy the world for imperial interest.....not "love and support" as you say. Not to mention all the victims (marines who now regret joining) they have drawn in to their murderous biddings.

nice speech but im sure when the shit hit the fans youll stay in your darkened room preaching on the internet about how soldiers are rapest in murders. u think the system is fucked, fight against it. soldiers, for who ever side their on (right or so very wrong) have earned my respect because they are willing to fight for what they believe in. dont get me wrong im as opposed to our troops in the middle east as the next guy, but thats because there fighting the wrong war, and in many cases not the war they joined up to fight. just because bush and the evil fucks he worked with tricked these poor guys into a war they shouldnt be fighting doesnt make the soldiers bad people(it makes me sad theres no hell for donald, dick, and george to go). im sure many of our soldiers would prefer to be the fuck out of iraq and either a(into afghanistan or b(at home where they can help our citizens. anyways im rambling and getting side tracked so ill stop now. my point it those in iraq who were tricked into going there have my upmost respect and sympathy, thats my opinion anyways. whats yours?
