Do head shops have age restrictions

Me and my friend plan on going down to the city one day to get a few things. Just wondering do they often have age restrictions and if so are they even enforced there?

 

I live in Kansas,but go into MO. to get stuff and I see kids buying stuff all the time.

 

yes, by law they are not allowed to have persons under the age of 18 in the store, or purchase anything. whether or not the headshops enforce it is a different story, some are very strict, some are not. you'll have to figure out if the headshops in your area enforce it or not

 

~_^ at the headshop closest to me, you can go in there at any age, they sell more than just pipes and bongs, but if they see you looking at the pipes they need to know you're 18.

Beware alot of these headshops have hidden cameras and work with the police I was recently followed by them for about 2-3 weeks after getting a vaporizer... fucking pigs have nothing better to do then mess with stoners.. the war on drugs will never end and people die over pot because of it

The thought of this is hilarious to me.

 

If they just card those that they thinka re underage you just need to act likeyour over 18 (i.e. act like an adult, and be dressed somewhat well (dont dresss like a bum). If they card everyone they you will beed to get a friend to buy for you.

 

Theres two big headshops around here. One is like, super strict about being 18, they card you when you walk in the door. The other one you can go into the store, take out pipes, handle them and whatnot. The owner has let my friend buy a pipe, but that was only when no one was in the store. The other time I went in and tried to buy a bowl he told me to go wait outside for someone to walk in and ask them to buy it for me, just don't make it obvious what I'm doing.

the other time I bought my friend a slider for his bong with an ID that had my friends picture on it and it said he was 17 haha.

 

Whatever you do, DO NOT ask for/talk about anything by using the word "bong". Even if the clerk is super cool about age, they'll almost definitely get pissed then.
They can get in trouble if everyone doesn't pretend it's all about tobacco.
Call it a water pipe. Don't speak as if you're going to do anything illegal.

 

yeah, I watched someone get kicked out (and banned for life) from a headshop for mentioning a bong.

 

Theres two headshops in my town. One is mad cool if you know the secret word to let them know you "forgot your ID" at home, and the other is equally as cool employee wise, but they do ID but aren't as strict with it. This one has better prices and more of a selection though.

Most do, but enforcement depends on the owners.
In one of the headshops I go to sometimes, the guy doesn't care ,for example, when I bought shroom spores off him that were contaminated, I went back and asked for a emplacement because they didn't look right under the microscope. He asked me why the fuck I would be looking at them under a microscope, and started questioning me about my growing procedure, lol

Another question, what are some of the more interesting things head shops usually carry. Me and my friend plan on getting whippets and Salvia if they carry it but what else should I look for.

 

The 2 headshops around me say right on the door you have to be 18 and then do nothing about it when you walk in.

I think that a lot of them just do it for law enforcement purposes but wont really care.

3 Headshops near me all enforce the 18 years old shit, and will let you in and look but not buy and you can't say anything illegal in the store, But then this other one right in between the other 3 they don't give a fuck, anyone can walk in there and get shit, i've boughten a vape, 3 bowls, 2 chillums, 3 bongs, and a couple hitters and many many blunt wraps and papers there and was never ID'd, and the one time I saw someone get ID'd there, she was 17 and only had to show ID because she used a check to buy an expensive bong lol. I bought a slide one day and it didn't fit in my bong and I brought it back and said it didn't fit and he said "I usually don't except returns, next time bring your bong in and we'll see what size slide you need." haha, then the lady that works there would tell me about her salvia experiences and used to sell it to me and my friends when it was still legal here.(but still under the counter)

Edit: oh yeah, lol, I even bought a 24 pack of n2o cartriges and a cracker along with some baloons. Best place ever to get pieces.
