Do Not Care About Sigs

I feel that since the sigs have been taken I feel a little freer around here.... I hardley have to scroll, I dont hear polls about sigs, and I dont have to look at all the stupid sigs like "show me your peice" sigs.... I dont see the "downward casted" eyes near as much.

So whatever... I think that skip can keep the sigs.

well, i liked mine. but it was on my other account anyway (ayahuasca), so i don't really care either way.
are the sigs not coming back, or what? i thought he only disabled them for a week..

 

They were good, they personalised things a bit and it made it easier to remember posters

Oh shit. How long have I been gone? I didn't even notice the sigs were nixed. I knew something was missing from this crazy place...

 

While I do like sigs I don't see that they are absolutely necessary.

Whoever writes scripts for the forums might want to give thought to an auto-resizer that would keep image sizes, especially widths, within reasonable parameters in sigs and in posts as well- regardless of the source dimensions.

Or images could be disabled entirely.

 

As long as the sigs arent half the screen large i liked them. seamonsters was cool with the loch ness monster pic.
and of course ray ray was my best sig ever

 

Some of them approached 1.5 screens high on many different systems.
Not sure how they slipped through the cracks...

I don't much care one way or the other. I actually changed mine fairly frequently and I thought it rather silly when people would publicly comment about them... because they would then become something else.

 

I could care less.

 

If the sig pics could be kept the same height as the avatars I wouldn't mind. Anything taller is to much of a distraction. Text only is fine w/me.

i thought they were mostly a rediculous overload of bandwidth that made the pages slow to open, and were mostly ripped off from other places by unimmaginative and noncreative idiots trying to look cool. i liked some of them though. even grabbed a few myself, not knowing nor caring particularaly where they came from, the ones of critters and landscapes.

art i leave alone mostly. i mean that's someone's creative children.
unless it's actualy your own creation. then that's more then totaly cool.
that's absolutely wonderful and the more so that you're willing to share it over the internet.

but big stupid pictures of celebraties and all that crap, i don't miss those a damd bit and i don't see how or why anyone else could or would either.

i think if people had kept them to within the size where they wouldnt have made the colums wider and had only posted their own origeonal creations in them, i doubt skip would have had to remove them.

but that IS the tradeoff, between having them and waiting forever for the page to load, and not having them and having it load almost instantly. that and intillectual honesty and coppyright issues.

yeah, really. Who cares? If you want to put the same stupid quote in all your posts, you can still do that. And if you want to plaster your face all over the boards, you can still do that. It just takes more work now, that's all.

Don't feel bad. When I thought the site weren't working, I replied the same thing on one thread about 6 times. I had to go back and just write deleted. Truth is, I'm much closer to 437 posts than to 443 posts.

 

Your poll is riged. If I agree with you then I sound good but if I disagree with you I sound needy. I choose I like the sigs, don't care if they make me popular but I like creativity. Like a desk, you can tell a lot about a person. Family pics, clutter, organized, empty, all those things are indications of how a person thinks, feels, and tells loads about the person's character.

 

You have a point dearie .... that wasn't a fair representation of choices....
