I wanna see how many people, girls espiecially, do this.

I defiantly dont and i think my hair looks great. after washing my hair it takes 30 seconds to take care of it. I love it.

I do only because it helps to protect your hair from damage. This is what I was told from my hair stylist.

Hiro.... I have always heard that blow-drying your hair actually damages it. and im pretty sure that's true.

maybe your hair dresser just wants to you to buy products?

It closes the cuticle. When you air dry it the cuticle doesn't close. I don't use products anyway.

hmmmm...when you say this... are you talking about split ends? because i know too much blow drying can def. make hair dry and damaged.

anyways, though, i havent had a single split end in over a yr. and havent had a trim. i gave credit to my shampoo. :)

No I am not talking about spilt ends I am talking about the actual cuticle itself and yeah I do get split ends but for healthy hair you should trim it every six weeks but I am lucky if I go once every six months.

*ahem, cosmetology school drop out steps up*

blowdrying your hair closes the cuticle, making hair look more shiny and smooth...but heat styling is very damaging, so you're screwed either way.

i only blow dry mine when i have to. my hairdryer died last week though, so until i get a new one, i guess i won't be blowdrying.

I use Gairnier (sp.) Fructies.... have been for about a year. Before that, I would use Pantene or some other crap and I would get split ends and my hair wasnt super strong.

Garnier Fructies claims it makes hair up to 5 times stronger and up to 5 times less split ends... ( i know i sound like a damn commercial...they should hire my ass)... but it worked like a charm for me. :)

the only shampoo/conditioner that arent super expensive that ever really worked for me.

I blow dry my hair because it's really thick and when I let it dry naturally my hair is half straight and half wavy...it looks horrible.

It depends. If I want it straight, I have to bust out the dryer because it has some wave to it. Since my hair is so long and it takes a while, I usually just braid it when it's wet and let it curl.

I just wet my shit down and pull it back, so I don't really need a blow dryer.

*edit* heat actually helps damage your hair
