Judging by this thread, you haven't even scratched the surface. Mushrooms will take you soo deep, that you'll hit the very core of existence.
Yea, because you can think deep after a few tokes, but shrooms break down the universe much more intensely. For me it simplified everything yet it was complicated. Everything had a central point which I notice is usually the theme of my trips. Other than that, "deep" isn't really the word for it, I think it's mind fucking.
I agree with trips usually having a central point. I find that I am very much able to understand the issues in my life from a basic level. It helps me act upon things. To the original questions, getting "deep" with fungus is about does, setting, and attitude. I'll assume that you mean that you want to use shrooms for more spiritual than recreational purposes. I don't believe that mushrooms reveal a secret or other universe or any of the other ideas about divinity. I do think they make us realize the vastness and complexity of the reality we live in. I find that dose is important for a meaningful trips. about 2 grams is good for a fun time, fun colors, and some strong empathy and emotional connectedness. 3 grams is when I feel a full psych. experience starts. The higher the dose, the more solitary and less social a trip becomes. Of course does and experiences will vary by person and potency. For a "deep" trip, I prefer to be alone or with one trusted person, at home, and not have to leave my house. You can much more comfortably explore the trip when you don't have to worry about surroudning. Finally, attitude is probably the most important thing. If you go into it wanting to see colors and giggle, you'll miss alot of the enlightening effects. Be comfortable with the fact that things will get weird. Push you comfort zones when exploring thoughts, and be ready to submit to whatever happens. Cheers
Yea being ready to push your comfort zones is key in tripping. It's like your life is getting examined under a trippy fucked up microscope and you feel like you are in a strange place. I got scared by this but by the peak you will be able to relax and let go. It's enjoyable only when you let go. Enjoy
Well of course afterwards you feel cleared and releaved but during it yu have to admit it is a strange experience.
Usually, I don't feel like I have a choice. With mushrooms, I feel like they give me some play time. Things get wacky for a while. Then at some randomn point I get slammed into looking at things in a bigger picture view. As soon as that settles, a bigger picture and then a bigger picture. Then I find a spot to sit my butt down and put on the thinking cap.
Nothing, bar none, of all the substances which is quite extensive to this point, I have taken have taken me to the epic heights or lows as mushrooms have....not even the best acid Ive had the best molly Ive had or 28mgs of 2CE(though i see a "dark" "twisted" yet comforting element to this), they hold a very dear place in my heart and the upmost respect along with that!
I agree here, I find shrooms to be strange and overwhelming at times but it doesn't give me a mindfuck like LSD. On introspective journeys, Quality LSD is like all your hopes, desires, dreams, strengths and weaknesses being exposed in a spotlight and you have to come to some sort of resolution with all this or you just wasted 12 hours. Shrooms to me feel guided somewhat from outside especially since I'm sensitive to them. I feel poison running through me but at the same time there is something about it that my mind embraces. I dont know if this is because the reptilian part of the brain is trying to reassure me I'm ok or what but I tend to think deeply for awhile and pass those notions off as absurd often even laughing about them. I dont feel constantly bombarded with information and sensation like LSD but its always present on mushrooms. Usually sometime into the trip especially camping or outdoors I have some period of time where I feel harmonious with nature and the cosmos.
