I offered to buy a guy food once, but he said he only wanted my money. If I wasn't giving him money to fuck off. I threw a cup of water on him for being a dick. I hope he froze to death that night.
Not really. Sometimes I may ask if they'd like a cup of coffee or some food but more often than not the answer is "fuck you". I don't really wanna give money to someone who is clearly going to use it support their drug or alcohol habit.. Obviously that's not the case with everyone but you never know. And you can't help all of them.
I will if they are nice about it.If they have a attitude no. I left the courthouse one day and I was stopped at a light,I was in a pissy mood when he came up to my car,he said do you have any money?I said get a fukin job, then I ran the red light,I was scared of him...LOL
Sometimes. But if I give money to someone I like to know they are going to use it well. I had dinner in a diner late one night and our waitress was clearly distraught. We heard her arguing with someone about bills. She gave us great service so I left her $100 bill as a tip. I miss the days when I could do that.
I got pissed off today, though. I saw this old lady with a cane and a hump begging all pathetic and stuff on a street corner but I didn't have any change so I passed her by. I saw her again later on the other side of town which made no fucking sense because there's no way she'd walk faster than me but I had change so I gave her some and after thanking me she looked up for a second and it was some young woman trying to cover the fuck out of her face with some big scarf. Damn cheater.
Maybe I'm too naive when it comes to beggars, but I just don't think someone would humiliate themselves and ask for money if they didn't actually need it. If you have extra money to give, give it. If you want to, of course. But if you don't want to, don't. BUT please don't bitch about it
Only when it is really cold or raining then I feel sorry for them and try to give then enough for a cheap pint. But not often. I live not to far from a hwy and their used to be a lot of beggars there and most of them were not even homeless they were just crack heads trying to get enough for drugs. They would fill up bags with dirty laundry and make sign saying they were homeless or trying to make it to their moms’ funeral. I hate when people take advantage of kindness.
the amount of beggars in my city its easy to just walk right past them.. but theres a couple i give money too when i see them. this one guy who tries to give out his drawings for money.. and this other guy whos really nice and plays the fiddle. i have a good friend that is a good christian... if there is such a thing as that. and around christmas time she fills brown paper bags with sandwiches, toothpase & toothbrush and other things and hands them out to homeless downtown.
I usually just give them cigarettes, even if they ask for money. I don't have much money. Funny thing is I don't give smokes to anyone but bums.
Teenagers often ask me for money. They're not beggars or anything, they usually need it for cigarettes. I always do give them. I just cannot not give money to someone who asks me if I have enough. I dunno. I don't care how will they spend it. If I have, I give.
