Don't mess with the [quote.] at the beginning and the [/quote.] at the end and it should quote correctly! The . are added otherwise it would be made into a quote Like:

It's that easy!

 

Are you typing the quotes manually? Just click the quote button at the lower right of the post that you are quoting then place the cursor after the end quote tag and start typing.
