i do, but it's not a case of paranoia, it's simply because i can't stand people barging in my room when i'm sleeping.

I don't have any locks on the doors within my house including the bathrooms, I do have locks on the doors leading outside but they're only locked at night

anytime I go anywhere, I usually lock the door unless there's a good reason somebody would be coming in.

Why lock yoursef in. Alot of houses in Albuquerque even have bars on the windows. Sure it may keep some people out but when they get in, you only have one way out!!!

when i lived in a room, the door will be locked everytime i was in it, i hate it when people knock and ur doing something u dont want to get caught with and u rush to put ur weed/cock away, instead i take my time, undo the lock and let em in.

now i live in an attic, i have a ladder with a huge hole in the floor, so no lock and im fine with it

I installed a locking doorknob when I lived with my parents. it bugged them to the point of them hiring a contractor to knock down the wall under the pretense of expanding my living area. Which would have been ok if they asked me first. so that's how they found my ghetto grow experiment and thought I was a spawn of satan. typical fundamentalists; they weren't moderate enough to ask me to not lock the door so instead they knock the wall down. raw force rather than than diplomacy; sounds like a certain GOP president, who's a favorite of theirs

My door is always locked because the word, "privacy," doesn't mean anything to anybody in my family.

I don't have a lock, and that really bugs the shit outta me. I always close it, though, as I do for all doors.

I never lock my doors, inside or out, and I have never ONCE been robbed or broken into or anything like that. If i ever do, then I do. I cant condone other peoples actions.

The only time they get locked is if no one is home.

This is how I see it, as opposed to locking every door and "bars on your windows" and all that security to "protect" yourself from your fears (fear of being mugged, robbed, raped, killed, etc.) Your just imprisoning yourself with your fears. Day in and day out, trapped by four walls and bolted doors..... Think about it

I lock my bedroom door when I take a shower. Other times I shut it, but leave it unlocked. My parents are good about that now. They always knock.

wow burnabowl, i totally sympathize with you. I hate it that parents can be so extreme. My situation wasnt as bad as yours but my parents actually took my bedroom door off the hinges when i was in highschool so i wouldnt lock it. What the fuck, i didnt have a door my senior year, talk about an invasion of privacy.
