do you still get phone books? do "they" still do that anymore? i cannot remember the last time i received a free phone book delivery...but then again, i also cannot remember the last time i really needed to use one
Do people still use those things for their original purpose? When Laura and I lived in our old apartment, we used our phone book to prop open the front door. It got delivered to our door, and never made it that far away from it. They are also make a great foundation when switching out a tire with an unsteady car jack.
The mowers got the last phone book. Our mail lady ran late so we decided to check the mail the next day....we didn't get to the mailbox before the mowers and instead of hooking the phone books to the mailbox like they do every year the mail lady just tossed them out on the ground. It took at least an hour to pick up all the paper.
Yep...get too many to keep track of. White pages Yellow pages The Other Yellow pages The County Yellow Pages The forest is crying...
Yes, they just pile them up in front of the mailboxes. Or stick a note in your box saying to come pick one up at the post office.
Yeah still get them but I use them for simple task, like I once used a couple as stash for bud back in the day. They are a hell to hollow out tho.
I still get one, but we're not in it anymore because we switched from Bell to Vonage...So we are no longer cool.
Heh. It's actually really easy to rip a phone book in two, anyone can do it, you just gotta know how to hold it.
I’ve seen the technique demonstrated several times on youtube; unfortunately it doesn’t require brute strength as one might surmise Hotwater
same thing happens here...lazy ass delivery crew throws them in the driveway...except here its in Feb or March...so instead of the lawnmower I usually find the phonebooks with the snowblower
i get one each year. i fed mine to my rabbits when i had em. they loved to tear the shit out of it and dig.
