i do. but big people vitamin pills make my tummy hurt so i take 2 chewable childrens vitamins a day instead. they're more fun, anyhow!
i take calcium (because i am 95% sure i already have arthritis, and im only 21) and i also take vitamin C tablets---build up that immunity baby
I do not take vitamins unless I have had days of not taking care of myself...then I go with some B complex
i take a mens multi once a day just to cover my tracks... but sometimes i do forget...not that big of a deal though. it is more important for me to get my fish oil
yeah, i'm not super strict about remembering. sometimes i do, sometimes i dont. i dont ALWAYS have the best diet, so this helps add a little something thats good for me.
I take a Centrum every day. I've noticed a performance difference when I don't have one for a few days.
When I started taking vitamins I didn't feel the need for coffee. Coffee only works for so long and makes you crash, bad, anyway. I can definitely tell a difference when I forget to take them.
I take vitamins everyday -- lots of vitamins. I take a multi, but since most multis do not provide adequate amounts of certain vitamins, I also take vitamin C, E, D, B3-6-12, CoQ10, and fish oil. I take about 8,000 mg of vitamin C everyday. It truly is the key to health. (Well, one of them.) If everybody took 1,000 mg or more of vitamin C daily, heart disease and many other ailments that afflict Westerners would be almost non-existent.
Also, if your stomach hurts or becomes upset after taking vitamins, it's likely because you're talking them on an empty stomach. That's not good because when you take vitamins on an empty stomach, they tend to not break down and assimilate as well.
That's good, as long as you eat whole foods and not the average nutrient-deficient American diet. Even most people who eat relatively well are still not getting adequate vitamins, which is why supplements never hurt.
My childrens' pediatrician says that taking vitamins is like pissing money down the drain. Not my words, his! Seriously, if you're eating a healthy diet, you should be well covered. Although you're right, most people DON'T eat a healthy wide variety of foods. In my home, I try to make sure we do. However, I did take prenatal vitamins during my pregnancies, and for about a year afterwards. I wanted to be 100% sure I was providing the absolute best growing environment and helping with my body's healing process due to pregnancy complications. I'm not anti-vitamins, I say, it's probably extra insurance. Occasionally I think about having my kids take them because they can be so finicky at times! They're pretty healthy for the most part, except for my younger son's allergy issues.
