I got on the subway after work the other day, and the car was full of black people - and it fucking stank. Now, this may well be because the black people here are proper Africans, and thus have slightly more exotic diets than my delicate nostrils are used to. But it does seem to be a recurring thing. What are your experiences?
Jimmy, I think this is a little too generalised. As I can remember, the black people I have been close enough to actually smell have smelt lovely. I wanted to sit close to one on a bus, that's how nice he smelt.
Well, like I said, it may well have something to do with their diet. The black people I've been around have almost exclusively been first generation immigrants from Africa. And that day on the subway was really overwhelmingly smelly (It isn't usually, like I'm sure it is in certain big cities)
What could they eat to have that bad of a smell? Perhaps it's lack of personal hygiene.. But that can happen to everyone of all colours, as can the diet thing.
lol I can't wait for Whimbrel to get to this. There was this kid, Poochie that played on our football team. He was as slow as you could be while still being allowed to play sports. He always smelled absolutely awful, and he would sneak up behind people at practice and tickle their ear and shit, rofl. He would do this gyrating dance if we chanted his name ... POOCHIE POOCHIE POOCHIE POOCHIE it was hilawrious. I still see him at Treaty Park sometimes when I go to play basketball.
If it is true it has nothing to do with race, it is indeed a diet thing. I don't even know what the point of bringing it up is to be honest.
Honestly I think most of the time it has to do with hair care? If you looked at the difference in the products that are used, you'd probably find vastly different odors emanating from them.
I dunno, like I said, it's a recurring theme here. There's no point in bringing it up. It's a random thought, this place is slow and I'm bored at work.
It could have been just that the subway smelt like sweaty dick. They usually do when I'm on one. No, I don't think anyone one race of people smells particularily different.
I'm telling you ... the hair is different enough to call for different products, which leads to different smells. It's simple. Crisco, Afro Sheen, etc... Stop being so sensitive about race people, I love Asian people and Black people and dirty Hawaiians all the same, but there are obvious, yet subtle differences. We can acknowledge them and still be equal. Except the Polish ... they're obviously inferior.
Me too. A lot. They smell different from caucasians too, though. Again I'm sure it's diet, but it must be partially biological as well..? :cheers2:
Maybe it doesn't really have anything to do with diet, but just with peoples' natural smells. Each individual has their own particular scent. I don't know if it has anything to do with a person's race though. Maybe certain races smell a certain way, but I'm sure there are plenty of exceptions.
